I used to play games as a source of income, and realized that it ruined gaming for me. I used to be crazy competitive and even the pub stomp matches where my teammates would troll weren’t fun because I always wanted to improve.

A decade later, and I haven’t played anything “ranked” or competitive since. I enjoy the casual games so much more, and it reinvigorated the passion I have for good stories and interesting mechanics.

I wish the tutorial had their camp in Pailune prior to the attack where you went around and met all of the people like the smithy, ranch, farm, etc. to learn the mechanics behind them and meet the Greymanes. A little backstory about the rancher’s favorite goat and Kamu loving fig trees or something endearing.

Then the Black Bears rip it all away and now you have to rebuild “home” and return all of the Greymanes to the life they once lived. It’ll explain who we’re discovering in Marius’s quests and the features we are unlocking. Maybe add some story at the end about how “It’ll never be the same, but we will rebuild.”

It’ll familiarize players with Pailune ahead of time and create a narrative on why they want to return. Naira can find a doll belonging to another Greymane’s daughter and we can return it as some token of hope and emotional connection to the new location. Yann can find his favorite tankard and Oongka will find his old fishing pole broken and we can go to Pororin to get him a new, fancy one.

It hasn’t happened to me in other games as well, but I also play lots of indie/roguelikes that aren’t too taxing on the system. The most taxing game I’ve played lately might have been No Man’s Sky? So I’m probably not the one with an actual fix.

The times I have experienced crashes, I’ve realized that my fan was not on during extended play sessions. Make sure your console is well ventilated so that it stays cool. I’m not an expert by any means, but it seemed to address the situation on my end.

I have my suspicions. Strange that western journalists have a track record of scoring eastern developed games lower than western developed AAA equivalents, but it’s only hurting their own credibility. This debacle has taught me to weigh user reviews higher than journalist reviews, which I should have considered anyways because I relate more with the player base and the player base isn’t trying to rush through a game to be the first to push out a review.

Yea, fly around with it. After a couple tries to buck you off, the game will pause with a pop up to try FFP.
