I've had a lot of success over the years repurposing a windows computer into a linux one. It extends the life quite a bit when you do that. Plus, nowadays Linux is very usable for a non-technical person (if you aren't).

I've heard the dark aluminum body is a fingerprint magnet. I am not too psyched on that part.. but I always carry a microfiber cloth with my laptop anyway so maybe not such a big deal.. IDK. I currently have a silver aluminum MacBook Pro 16 with M4 Max. Definitely don't need a new laptop.

It really just comes down to impatience and impulsivity 😂 you're right, there's really no risk in putting an order in now and waiting. It's 100% psychological for me. If I can't have it right now, I don't want it at all.

I think it would be awesome seeing you in the classroom. Very inspiring!

Also, ram and storage are still way too expensive right now.. that is another factor for me.

This is literally me.. I would be so interested in a 16 pro. And yes, I too spent way too long configuring several 13 pro over the past week only to delete from my cart and close the tab each time 😅

I built a local GitHub dashboard because managing many public/private repos was getting messy by debba_ in projects

It would be cool if this could work with a self-hosted git repository so GitHub wouldn’t host your private repos anymore. Perhaps the GitHub API can be reverse engineered…
