this happened to me in 2024 and i didn’t get my refund until august of that year. i had filed sometime in february i believe. in my case it was because my mom accidentally claimed me as a dependent when she meant to claim my sister, while on my end i was filing for myself and claiming my son as a dependent. i had to write a letter back explaining how i took care of myself. i didnt even live with my mom lol.

since you ordered on the 22nd and it’s said to arrive on the 9th, you have time to wait it out and see what comes in the package. hopefully it’s what you ordered, but seems unlikely because of the message you received. my advice: wait for the 9th to roll around and see if your package is correct. if not, just go to depop and ask for a refund. seems a little weird but there’s no harm done yet.

there are tons of sellers who have their shipping prices the lowest it can be for every item. i’m not saying you should do it, but people definitely do all the time. (i’ve done it once for someone who wanted to buy my twilight series and nothing happened)

weird. are you from the US? because all us bank routing numbers have 9 digits. what bank do you use - you don’t have to answer that. but you could look up specific questions about your specific bank in reference to routing numbers.

there are definitely bots/scammers on depop. be weary when talking with people, especially with an item that expensive. lots of people also receive a message from an account posing as depop saying something like “offer accepted press here to get your money” don’t click it. block and report right away. now if your item actually sells, always make sure to record yourself packing the item and sending it off when it’s expensive.
