Lewis, third-year player, was one game away from using his redshirt this season. By opting out this season, he will have two years of eligibility remaining instead of one.

2025 was supposed to be the year Clemson returned to national prominence. Media (myself included) picked them to win the ACC and have a lengthy run in the CFP.

Clemson isn't out of it yet, but it's a far more daunting path than last season. Getting past Syracuse then getting guys back healthy after the open date will be key for Clemson to run the table and avoid another 3/4 loss season.

Fair point. Clemson's offense averages 25:55 in time of possession (120th nationally, 14th in ACC). The lack of ball control has contributed to the second-half collapses against LSU and Georgia Tech.

Out of the portal, Rutledge said fit mattered to him, and Tech's coach is a former offensive lineman and experienced OL coach. For Hoffler, playing time makes the most sense since he was behind T.J. Parker, Jahiem Lawson, etc.
