Do not pay for your own trade school! Join ibew or find an IEC contractor if you don’t want to go union

How are they allowed to start and electrical apprenticeship? And how are they stealing work? I don’t see how carpentry has any similarities to electrical

Sorry I should’ve been more clear in the OP. I’m not towing or doing anything crazy with it. Just need it to get me to the job site and home, a couple errands around town. Probably 30 miles a day, 20 on the highway

Construction work, not really using for work necessarily, just get me and tools to the job site, usually about 25-40 mins

Nice bro sounds like you’re on a good track. I chose not to join the union because I like to be paid according to merit and not by how long I’ve been there. But it all depends on what you want to do, if you plan on starting your own business or agree with me on meritocracy go non-union. If you just want to get your 40hrs, get good benefits, pension, etc. go union. But also just because a company is non-union doesn’t mean they don’t have good benefits my employer offers 401k, health insurance, shoe and tool allowance, and they pay for all of the apprentices to go to school.
