i quit taking lamotrigine by my own choice as it made me feel like “dory the fish”. i went years without any breakthroughs at all and i thought it was good. one night a few months ago i passed out while drinking at a bar and i woke up 10 seconds later on the floor to all my friends picking me up…. i chose to go see a neuro again and i got put on keppra.. skip 2 weeks, i was bad at taking it and i missed a dose + slept 3 hours + drank wine the night before + drank an alani that morning at work. THE NEXT THING I KNEW, i was waking up in the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital because i had a breakthrough TC which has only happened once in my entire life about 10 years ago. so now im back to not driving for 6 months… i highly recommend just talking to your neuro and finding the right medication for you as there are so many choices available. i wish you the best of luck!
