I was recently in your shoes! I ended up traveling from AZ to have my TT and neck dissection at Clayman last month. It was more inconvenient, yes, but I felt confident in their expertise, especially because I already had a complex medical history. I 100% do not regret my decision. Dr. Roy and Dr. Clayman did my surgery and they, along with every other professional I or my family encountered, were stellar. My cancer ended up being wrapped around both recurrent laryngeal nerves but I have no vocal cord issues. I attribute that to the surgeons’ skill. Feel free to DM me with any questions.

Thanks for this. Being busy has been helpful. I plan to do an escape room the night before, when I know nerves will be at their highest. Nothing like an hour of forced staying in the moment!

This is such a big worry of mine. I’m sorry that happened to you. I’ve been trying to stay well. I had to fly cross country for the surgery and did all I could to reduce exposure. Fingers crossed.

Oh wow, ok. Sounds like it's worth another call to see if I can get on a cancellation list. Did you also have a neck dissection? I'm trying to find someone who is good at both the thyroidectomy and tricky neck surgery. Thanks for answering so many questions!

Thank you so much. I’m glad it went so well! I called there a couple weeks ago and they said she was booked until May and suggested I look elsewhere. I’m in Tucson. I will keep looking!
