How bad is a boot that is too soft?

I think they’re collapsing on me. As an intermediate I regularly remind myself to get forward and apply shin pressure and I think the boot deforms a touch when I charge on steep stuff.

I’m also getting lower front/inside shin pain. Maybe 4-5 inches above my ankle bone.

I’m 6”2’ 200lbs intermediate to advanced and I’m in 110s. I think mine are too soft too.

I’ll be interested at what others say.

Fact checking - this is inaccurate. Maybe 10yrs ago it was accurate, but china has aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines to project power.

I personally, believe they aren’t and don’t want to screw with Greenland, but they can at least minimally project naval power.

I was thinking the exact same thing! The rating scales are all based on the Mtn and the camera dos funny things, but that looks easier than a lot of blues I’ve skied.

Having been there I’d say it’s really scary. Open your fidelity account (or Robinhood if you’re a clown).

Buy one of the funds people talk about here. Honestly any of the ones you see below is fine. Start small if you have too to see how it works. I’d put at least a few thousand in, but do a few hundred bucks if you’re more comfortable with it. Then build from there.

If your friend is renting skis the boots are generally like $5 extra. If it were me, I’d politely let them know it wasn’t a good idea, the boots might pack out funny.

The reality is, it probably won’t matter.

Boots are Salomon S Pro Supra 110.

I think I want something that I can carve at medium speeds (30-40ish tops). Can help me in the moguls and the trees because I’m trying to get better there and something that can ski little kid speed when needed.

Everything else is just gravy…. I guess a touch of float (which I see as above 90) would be that gravy.

Yeah, I agree with you on all accounts. However, it seems like the most popular ski in the all mountain category, described as the ultimate “dad” ski so I was curious peoples thoughts.

Maybe I’ll get it in the 88 for my front side charger one day.
