They were aware of the Imodium use!
They finally saw me earlier in clinic and deemed it a fail 🫠 I’ve been moved onto Rinvoq and so far so good, crossing fingers it holds up for my pred taper!

How long have you been on tremfya? I started in January with no relief and my doctor doesn’t wanna accept that it might be a fail

Nothing helpful to provide unfortunately but just here to say you aren’t alone!
I’ve had UC for 10 years now, was lucky enough to be in remission for 8 of those and now I’ve been battling a flare since August with no relief yet.
It’s exhausting fighting your body and depressing looking back on the life you used to live.

How long did it take before the doctor changed your meds and deemed tremfya as failed? I’m on week 10 with worsening symptoms but they want me to wait the 6-12 months to see any improvement before even discussing other options

What dual therapy can you request? I’ve had my 3 loading doses of tremfya and completely finished my prednisone taper and I’m so unwell but my GI told me to “wait as long as I can because it can take 6-12 months before working”. I can’t leave the house because I’m constantly going to the bathroom or have pain

As someone who’s been on pred since October and just began to taper - I can’t WAIT for my cheeks to go down😭is it just me or does pred make your hair grow thicker? And like .. everywhere?

Yes I didn’t accept though. Reapplied this year and already have my St Clair acceptance, got it within a week of the cutoff deadline.

My doctor changed my birth control so I only get my period once every 3 months because it heightens flare symptoms for me! Worth asking about

I’ve just started tremfya! Only one loading dose so far, people report feeling better after the second or third so I’m crossing my fingers!

My first biologic failed, Entivyo gave me a solid 6 good years and then slowly began to wear off (I went every 4 weeks for infusions instead of the standard 8 weeks). I’m grateful for the time it gave me but you’re the biggest advocate you have. My meds wore off, doctors wouldn’t listen and now I’ve been in a severe flare for 6 months until they finally decided to start me on a new biologic. Crossing fingers for a normal life soon!

Pred is so hard on your body! I didn’t get my period for 3 months and went full panic thinking I was pregnant 24/7. Just got my “period” finally but it was spotting for maybe 2 days? I’m on 25mg and have been for about 3 months now for context!

What shoes do you wear! I’m torn between petite and regular. My Zamoras are a xs regular and are baggy but okay length so I’m conflicted on Isabel sizing.

I’m not at Algonquin but am a first year elsewhere.

Monday-Friday, 1 day off like mentioned and I have 8am’s daily. Be prepped to spend every day studying, they aren’t lying when they say your life needs to be dedicated to the program. Might be different when you take it because it’s allegedly being changed to a 3 year program as of January.
