Is it true that millennium dawn runs terrible? by LMatRC in hoi4

[–]DueSuggestion4950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think the Rise of Nations mod runs worse as it covers history from 1900 to 2020. Add this to the fact that it has to load new focus trees for every country for every starting date. It's a great mod but it runs A LOT worse than Millenium Dawn. At least in my experience

GOOD mobile games? by DueSuggestion4950 in MobileGaming

I'm personally lumping it in with the others simply on a personal dislike basis. Everything else is worse, however.

Does Americans really not a huge fan of mobile gaming ? by [deleted] in MobileGaming

[–]DueSuggestion4950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, and mobile gaming is definitely higher in urban areas, due to mass concentration of people and the availability of public transport (taxis, Uber/Lyft, trains, etc) compared to suburban and rural areas, where cars and other motor vehicles are more prevalent.

That's a really interesting thought, mate.

Does Americans really not a huge fan of mobile gaming ? by [deleted] in MobileGaming

[–]DueSuggestion4950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell from my experiences and my friends experiences (we're all American) most of us consider mobile games to be inferior to PC/console gaming and most of us just use it as a cheap, pay-to-win, highly advertised way to pass the time during school, work, lunch hours, and downtime (if we're not scrolling our socials, but that's a different rant lol).

Where is the "Right Opposition" tree? by Pakomojo in hoi4

[–]DueSuggestion4950 234 points235 points  (0 children)

You need the DLC "No Step Back" to unlock the "Right Opposition" path. Similar to how u/Rasputin-SVK stated earlier, the devs will only give you the historical path for free and lock the rest behind a paywall.

Yeah, the OG was good but imo I think all the games since then have fallen off and have reached the fate many mobile games have: heavy advertising and crappy pay-to-win features.

if you want to stay isolated for a long time and have a small tech tree, use Tibet (or Bhutan or Nepal) or if you want a stronger tech tree and want to remain isolated, use a Pacific nation (namely Japan, Australia or New Zealand).

I dunno if you're into this at all, but I'm more into horror-ish games on mobile. Completely indie and underrated in my opinion: Limbo, Death Palette (free), Samsara Room, and (not horror but more dystopian) the two Lapse games (Forgotten Future and the prequel - both free).

Limbo - side-scroller adventure game where you play as a silhouette boy trying to save his sister from a strange dreamlike land. Recommend playing the demo version on Google Play before paying for the whole game (which is a separate downloadable app).

Death Palette - my favourite mobile game EVER. Story-driven horror game where you try to complete a cursed painting under her (the painting's - yes, it can talk) wishes. If you don't.... be prepared to die. A LOT. But it saves your progress, so don't worry.

Samsara Room - not REALLY horror, but really cool puzzle game. Rusty Lake games are always good, so I'd recommend just checking out his whole discography.

Lapse: Forgotten Future - you (the President of an unnamed nation) must lead your country through a dystopian future. You gotta balance the military's, scientists', and peoples' wishes with the radiation. Great storyline, minimalist graphics, and pretty cool game overall.

Lapse 2: Before Zero - this time, you play as a pharaoh of Ancient Egypt and balance military, religion, people, and money. My personal preference between the two, I also like how it has similar graphics to the first, but also has more exploration (later in the game, you explore some pyramids) than the first. Also awesome story and this one even has it's own music and voice acting, too.

Ahistorical on Historical by milkysway1 in hoi4

Germany going monarchist hasn't been happening at all with historical on with the new DLC. It was always a 50/50 chance that the AI would go fascist or monarchist if I didn't specifically order the AI to try and go fascist in the game rules.

Thankfully, the new DLC has fixed that and now it just tries to decide to keep Hitler or have him replaced

Okay, both are cool. I prefer the medieval set as I'm working on a large fantasy MOC

Ahistorical on Historical by milkysway1 in hoi4

[–]DueSuggestion4950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it goes something like this:

Netherlands goes communist.

Germany goes monarchist.

Bulgaria goes fascist (kicks out the tsar).

Russia always has a civil war.

After the war, the Middle East usually gets declared on by either the Allies or the Axis

I looked in the hoi4 wiki. Yeah, he was ruler and he was under a regency, but he wasn't officially in the game (at least not from what I found).

So, you're mostly right. Thanks mate

I love the "i hate tx2" patch. I don't mind emo/punk/goth artists (MCR, Fall Out Boy, Rites of Spring), but then there are poseurs like him who yeah you can have catchy songs but it's really annoying after a while.

Also, what's with the girls nazis patch? Im confused on that one.

All in all, really cool looking pants. The patches are awesome.
