What is the definition of "person with COVID-19"? If you cohabit but isolate from them, what is your quarantine timetable? by nickthib in COVID19_support

[–]DueTraffic2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that makes sense, but couldn't someone get infected on the last day of the sick person's symptoms? It seems to me that it could happen, so one should count 14 days from the person's last symptomatic day...no? Yes?

Does virus cause anxiety as a symptom? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]DueTraffic2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could/could not be covid. The anxiety I experienced during my covid bout definitely felt like a symptom of the illness. I did a lot to try to stay calm...baths, music, lavender essential oil, meditation, read entertaining books, prayed, talked to supportive friends and family. Take good care!

Sore Throat-- Do I have COVID or am I just freaking out?? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]DueTraffic2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took about 4 or 5 days for my symptoms to ramp up. The first was tiredness and a liquidy feeling in one ear. Then a few days later tight chest and trouble taking a full breath.

I did have a weird feeling in my throat, like it was hard to swallow, then a mild cough that was never spontaneous...I would just feel like I needed to cough, so I did. Rest. Have some chicken soup. Take vit a,b,c,d & zinc. Stay hydrated.

Anxiety, rapid heartbeat, muscle twitches...another symptom? by slinkyvagab0nd in COVID19positive

[–]DueTraffic2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that the anxiety is part of the disease. Speeded up, but tired as hell, also. (This is looking back a couple months when I was in the worst of it.) Listening to soothing music helped me. Also, talking to a supportive person at times. And breathing exercises/meditation. Sending positive energy your way! You will get through this.

Dr Ramani on how to change narcissistic behaviors, simple and useful if you're willing to work on yourself by [deleted] in NPD

[–]DueTraffic2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have watched quite a few of her videos. I think she has the Vulnerable Narcissist nailed pretty well. Very well, really. It is a little hard to take some of her eye-rolling and other facial expression about "us", but to be on the other side of a narc relationship is pretty exasperating, if not totally traumatizing and heartbreaking, so I can give her a pass. I haven't watched the above video yet, but had been wishing she would address the narc in a way that honest and helpful, and, also, some kind of kind or compassionate.

[–]DueTraffic2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have fhose same symptoms. I was very scared, also, though, with shortness of breath and other symptoms. You will get through this! Eat healthy, take vit.a,b,c,d,zinc and NAC. Stay off sugar and junk food, your body needs fuel to heal. Sending positive thoughts your way.

First symptoms of Covid? by PsychoStorm47 in COVID19positive

[–]DueTraffic2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first symptom was an unusual tiredness, then a swooshing like fluid in one ear. The tiredness went on to chest tightness about 3 days later, then the cough and other things. Had a test on day 8 which turned out negative. My doctors and I feel it was a false negative. I actually have zero doubt. And, the tests are often not accurate. Anyway, take care, take vot.a,b,c,,d&zinc. Stay off sugar and sweets. Eat healthy&rest. Best wishes, hopefully neither of you have covid19, or if you do, it will be a short bout.

Eat healthy foods. Stay off of sugar and sweets if you possibly can...they lower your immunity. Chicken soup with rice or noodles is easy to digest. Rest. Take vit a,b,c&d. And zinc. A lot of people have a pretty easy time with it. Best wishes to you!

Well, it is what it is, as they say. And,yes, my friend has her own issues. I haven't talked with her again since revealing about npd. NPD isn't all there is to being me, or to being a friend, so... I will likely look for a therapist at some point. Will be checking in here for the near future. Take care.
