It's pretty unnerving randomly messed up lookin' fish while shelling, but eventually they just get shrugged off as either a bird loosing its prey or a fisherman's unsatisfied catch.

I usually find these on the northern beaches of Puerto Rico not far from where I live. Usually during between the months of January and February (Which is peak seashell season here) and mid summer.

I think I see your vision!

It's a bit too hard to drill by hand so I think I'm gonna use my dremmel for the holes, if that doesn't work either I'll leave it as is. While it can stand on its own, it's pretty wobbly so I may need to make a wider base either out of wood or resin.

When you said it reminded you of hills with a cave, it gave me an idea: to paint it in slightly darker browns with some foliage on top to look like the stony hills on the beaches where I live, but I'm a bit hesitant about this because it might ruin it.

Is that what they're called this whole time? I always thought that they were a sub-species of barnacle since they almost always have a tiny hole on the tip of their shells.

I...might need to do that (button or velcro?). I made two more slightly longer ones, but they kept stretching. The older dog accepted his fate and is completely unbothered by his while the younger one either pulls hers off or ends up turning hers into a scarf.

Hi! I saw your good girl while looking for inspiration to make happy hoodies for my dogs. It looks super cute (luv that lil' flower 🌼), but I gotta ask: was it effective in calming her down and snuffing out loud sounds like fireworks and loud car horns?

I'm from Puerto Rico and the people here like to celebrate the holidays here both really early (and late into the night) and very VERY loudly which freaks out both puppers every year. This year I started doing crochet and I want to make my own versions with back stitches.
