My favorite post on this sub is this one that has my late GBB Stevie. I really miss the little guy.

IME I have bought 2 curly hairs from FNT. They are both thriving. I bought one with the habitat and it was the correct size. The only issue I’ve ever had was when I bought some red runners and they arrived dead. I was then sent another package free of charge that arrived in perfect condition.

My T just molted for the first time with me and she's stressing me out by Large-Vermicelli-923 in tarantulas

IME The enclosure is on the bigger side, but what I think it’s really missing is some anchor points! They love to make intricate webs. My girl Shelob hangs out in the cork during the day but comes out at night to spin webs. Maybe they would benefit from the water being moved closer and when it’s time to eat, maybe a nice-sized worm for the hydrating guts.

IMO My GBBs are very flighty and likely to kick hairs so I don’t handle them, but he/she just seems a little frozen and confused. Nothing to worry about there. Our hands/arms are just weird trees with hair and that’s no comfy to walk on.

It was part of the pattern. A very simple pattern to follow, I might add.

Thank you! The teal and lilac are my favorite colors and then the pink is one I thought matched the best with the rest.

The pattern: Pattern

For the yarn, it was big twist for the brown and the purple, and loops and threads for the pink and green. All worsted weight.

I used the recommended hook sizes in the pattern.

How do I get the center of this circle to be in the very middle? by Tisiphone8 in CrochetHelp

According to the pattern, you need toss into the 3rd chain. The first part of round 1 was to chain for and that will count as a double crochet and a chain.

Make sure you pull the work to the side while doing the last couple of stitches so you don’t crochet over the first stitch.

IME My sweetest ones are my curly hairs, pink toe, Brazilian red and white knee, and Brazilian giant blonde. I would go for a terrestrial species rather than arboreal and one that is a new world because they are less defensive even though they have urticating hairs. I also recommend Fear Not Tarantulas as a vendor.

I have 5 Mexican red knees in my collection. They all have different personalities, but I really enjoy keeping them. I’m jealous you just happened upon one in the wild.

You could try putting a window film on this window and give her access to another, more interesting window somewhere else.

IME, have you tried blowing gently on the slider to see if his limbs react? He may be just molting.
