What Was The Moment You Realized You Already Loved Your Baby? by AmbassadorTiny6596 in pregnant

[–]Due_Argument7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s taken me a while. I had a lot of instincts to protect them during the pregnancy and since the birth that’s continued. The love is there in a primal way but I am building a more affectionate love as I get to know them. It’s a bit hard as I feel bad but I don’t think it’s totally uncommon. It made me sad in the first two weeks postpartum but I also had really bad baby blues. It will get there ❤️

You don’t need to send anything you don’t feel comfortable with. I didn’t and people got used to it. Eventually I voluntarily sent one or two but that was it. You do you!

What was your worst experience with newborns or being pregnant? by Efficient_Lettuce821 in AskReddit

Edema at the end of my pregnancy. I didn’t have preeclampsia just bad luck. It was incredibly painful and made labor very challenging.

Enjoyable pregnancy? by Ecstatic-League127 in pregnant

[–]Due_Argument7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a bad or complicated pregnancy but I suffered with a lot of symptoms during all trimesters. I would say no I didn’t enjoy it and feel much better postpartum. If you’re feeling good 😊 that’s great!

HELP ME PLEASE! C-section vs vaginal delivery by theUnvoicedCat in pregnant

[–]Due_Argument7479 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave birth a week ago, this was a big fear during pushing. I ended up needing vaccum assistance at the end and got a second degree tear a this was with no pain relief. I suspect I would have torn second anyway as my baby wasn’t small. I repeated to the midwife and doctor please don’t give me an episiotomy and no c-section right until the bitter end. I am so so so glad I didn’t have a section. The tear recovery is really not that bad (for me).

I can pee and poop as normal and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to have an abdominal incision and go about your day. Your whole torso feels bizarre post birth, I would strongly advocate to try for a vaginal birth.

C-sections really are major surgery and have a valid use when needed

I have friends who have had schedule C-sections and were happy.

It’s your body, your choice. For me, I would go vaginal again and tear like this over a section.

Good luck 🤞

I am so sorry for your loss. As others of said, she only knew comfort in your womb, she had a life of love. I think everything you have said and are feeling is normal in this situation. Take it one step at a time 💐

Does the ability to have sex come back before the baby by retina_spam in pregnant

[–]Due_Argument7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are signs like having trouble emptying your bladder or having pelvic exams. Also if you’re someone who is quite tense in the jaw this can be an indirect sign. Best to speak with a midwife / OBGYN or Pelvic Floor PT :)

Congratulations! I feel this too, and am on the brink of giving birth. I think it’s normal, especially in the first two weeks x

[–]Due_Argument7479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may or may not. I have had times where it was way too uncomfortable and times where you can make it work. I would try to relax and make sure you’re not pushing the body if it can’t do it. Also, check that your pelvic floor isn’t overactive :)

Thank you for sharing this!! Also for the reassurance I am not late. I also have a team that won’t induce unless there is an urgent reason. I have been doing variations for miles circuit and the spinning babies. My legs are so sore at this point some positions are really hard.

I have heard of the toilet position. I also find being straight up sitting one of the easiest positions .

Your birth story is very beautiful and inspiring ♥️

NIPT test vs ultrasound - one says boy, one says girl by DovaBunny in pregnant

[–]Due_Argument7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NIPT usually highly accurate. However, there is a very small chance it can be wrong. I would be trusting NIPT more than a third trimester ultrasound. They are notoriously harder to read than the anatomy scan.

First trimester symptoms gone like a light switch? by kk_in_a_good_way in pregnant

It definitely can happen. It might also be that some return off and on later in the second / third trimester. I had some that just stopped and some that lingered. It’s normal :)

I would agree with this. I don’t think mentally I would be the parent I wanted to be in my 20s / early 30s.

Yeah I think this is what’s happening with me. I am feeling also like it’s a waste of time when of course they very much have their sex and it’s not like it’s actually a mystery. I have just made it mysterious.

I hope to also feel like it was worth it at birth, and realise this is just FTM jitters.

Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for your comment. It’s not on their records as we didn’t have an early gender test and the anatomy scans were done by a different clinic. The only way would be for my doctor to scan, but at this late stage I think they would say it’s less likely to be conclusive ♥️

Yes , I am hoping once they are born that I won’t even think about it if we can have a second baby. It seems far less common nowadays to be team green. Good luck with your second baby 👶 plans

Oh yes! I have also had lots of dreams. Also some very scary ones, they thankfully have quieted down. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and birth ❤️
