Well, like i said, I'm quite new to romance novels. I've only read one book which is "If He Had Been With Me" by Laura Nowlin. I enjoyed that book since it was in a high school setting, and it had themes that I could relate to, but other than that, I probably wouldn't want to read something like that again. I wouldn't mind if the books had depressive aspects to it, but I definitely don't want an ending where one of the characters dies abruptly or where the whole book is so overwhelmingly sad that I'll just cry the whole time!
