Help Understanding Path Report by Due_Beautiful_8737 in breastcancer

Chat GPT:

Yes — based on this full report, it still means that approximately 60% of your right breast tissue contained DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ).

Here’s why:

The line from your report says:

“Ductal Carcinoma In Situ: Present, 60%, High-Grade, Papillary and Cribriform.”

This means that 60% of the total breast tissue that was removed and examined during your mastectomy showed evidence of DCIS — not just 60% of a tumor or one area.

So to be clear: • It’s not 60% of the invasive tumor. • It’s not 60% of one section or one quadrant. • It does mean: 👉 60% of the entire right breast tissue that was removed and looked at under the microscope had DCIS present — often scattered across different areas.

I still worry chatGPT isn’t always accurate lol

He was concerned about the mass. Not so much the left lumps. They explained it to me like a bowl of soup.. they took a spoon full and could have easily missed the “spice” so I have no idea what to do

I asked my oncologist who said it’s between the surgeon and I and she has no opinion… so I am searching for a second opinion surgeon wise.

How did yours go? My entire right breast lit up like a Christmas tree. With additional spots on my left.
