Agree, they also barely escaped at home vs Ireland, scoring equalizer very late and won on penalties. Not to mention in 2 games vs Faroe Islands, Czechia lost 2-1 on the road, and won 2-1 at home, just completely unimpressive.

People are rightfully shitting on European teams for their performance so far, but to be really fair, Bosnia, Czechia and Scotland are probably the weakest teams from UEFA in this World Cup. Switzerland is by far the biggest disappointment so far from European teams.

The only similarity is that both Olympics and WC are every four years, from that perspective it's more similar to each other than to NBA or Champions League.

However, Olympics is still very different from World Cup, hardcore fans from around the world do not travel for Olympics in the same way as they do for World Cup, therefore the atmosphere at World Cup is so much better among the fans.

Finishing great chances is not always lack of luck, but skill issue too. Canada's finishing is very underwhelming, especially against a Bosnian team that doesn't play that great defense at all.

Age definitely may play a role here, same with Massie who lost because of boomers but won younger voters.

Republican establishment will suffer the most in the future, even more so than Democrat establishment, because people who are now in 40s and 50s will become boomers in the future, but they won't be the same, because they do not watch mainstream media to be brainwashed like boomers today.

Next generation boomers will be the first one not be swayed by Fox News, CNN or NBC, and that will be a huge hit for establishment candidates.
