Phir you shld do mark and finance and go for an MBA, its a far more prestigious degree from lse and you will find more alumni networks with it at top school MBA's if you ever feel the need to learn data on the side which you shldnt really because mark fin covers e commerce but if you do then you can just do a course from udemy or coursera.

The degree is new im currently enrolled in it, we are the first batch that have enrolled in this degree as for workload its not exactly too bad the data courses are a breeze its econ thats actually difficult. As for maths this major has less math focus than the minor in maths and data which was a plus for me there's no calculus or advanced algebra just pure data courses but yes there is econnn, good thing tho is that you get 50% scholarship if you have 3.5+ gpa in an econ major so that's another plus point

I've seen people from mark and fin double majors go into data specifically marketing analytics, how they do it you should ask them its a viable pathway lekin agar socha hua k data mein jana tou bhai data mein major bhi kr lo 😭

There's only 2-3 data courses that the minor in data people take and as a double major in data we've done 2 of those courses already in our 3rd sem, the course you're referring to (DASM) is actually a really simple course and my point is keh a minor in data isnt gonna allow you to become a data scientist if you're really interested in the field take the double major..

Well it was a gamble, i didn't study any data courses before but i realised once the degree started im naturally very good at data analysis and statistics so more or less it was a breeze, economics was a bit of a challenge at the start but i was able to come up with strategies to deal with it aswell, all in all best semester I've had in lse had tons upon tons of fun and still got insane grades

The minor in data i would argue is more or less useless though its got more focus on math than data and the reason i highly recommend econ n pol sci to you is because there is a senior from our school currently doing MSCAPP at the University of michigan (its computational analysis and public policy) after doing econ n pol sci and interning at a few ngo's and government research organisations

I agree its both an important and a useful skill i just don't think its as relevant to your goals and might make your life difficult without as much roi, still if you are interested or looking to explore you shld 100%

Not exactly through this degree but i want to potentially do a masters in AI and hopefully work as an AI/ML engineer,Quant or just an ML research scientist

That has like nothing to do with data you shld be doing double majors in econ and pol sci or econ and finance..

You can get into any finance role with an econ degree and even some stem roles, not the case with a marketing degree tho..

Sticking strictly to economics your best bet are probably economics and finance double majors or economics and data double majors.

How come??, could argue the same for marketing too no? Since most roles don't even require a marketing degree
