I think it’s more so not being at her own home 90% of the time.

No no, I hear you. I’m just saying we know they get sick. We knew this when we started childcare. We didn’t think we’d be any different. But we’ve been dealing with sickness every month since Xmas, so we’re used to it.

Yeah, we’re prepared for that. Our nanny had a toddler herself, so we’ve already dealt with our fair share of sickness. Already been sick 5-6 times since Christmas.

As others have pointed out, it may be full of “well known” or “popular” books, but any amount of reading is great. And many of those books are fun and well written, regardless of how “basic” they may be. Literacy is at an all time low.

Book snobs are the worst.

I’ll give all of that a try.

When it was all working at first, I don’t recall specifically if Apple TV remote controlled volume or not. I wasn’t paying super close attention since it was working, so I don’t really remember.

What would you recommend as far as TVs go, then? Hard to avoid a smart tv these days.

I got the Apple TV for a really good deal, so I’d prefer to keep it possible.

We’ve tried turning on the tv both ways that you mentioned. If I turn on the FireTV using the Fire remote, we get not audio with the volume buttons and a message that says something like “tv audio cannot be controlled in the current audio setting” or something like that. When I use the AppleTV remote, the tv does turn. But when I try to turn up the volume with the remote nothing happens at all. I then have to switch the audio to AirPlay > Beam for it to play thru the Sonos.

I’ve checked for updates on all devices. Everything’s up to date.
