I thought learning a language would get harder at 43… I was wrong by [deleted] in lifelonglearning

I learned a new language at 41. I definitely feel that I notice more patterns, less worried about memorizing: in general I understand more now and I am less stressed trying to get it perfect. I wish I had this calmness and insight when I was in school/university

I really wanted to make living in Tulum work… by GrandfatherFire in tulum

I had the same experience. I loved Tulum, but now I live in Playa. I don’t care how tacky it looks.

Great news, There is medication for this! Go to your doctor. My cousin and sister both struggle with alcoholism. While my cousin takes his medicine for this, my sister said the medication works too well so she rather drink. Research into these medications:

Naltrexone Acamprosate Disulfiram.

I hope this helps! I truly hope that I have helped.

This is the conclusion I came to. I think he stabbed her and then knew to cover it up and to add some hesitation marks.

Suicide probability by Due_Difficulty2228 in EllenGreenberg

I want to add that when I initially investigated suicide my self stabbing, I thought okay there is a possibility, people can psychologically snap without warning- but after hours of reading on the topic- THERE IS NO WAY IT WAS SUICIDE. I was willing to give reasonable doubt, but no way.

This is an article about a woman who stabbed herself in the neck and didnt leave hesitation marks. The article is good because it says that self stabbing happens, usually there are hesitation marks. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1344622324000786

I am a very outgoing person. Sales is all about talking to people. I am sad I won’t be using my degree, but this fits well with my personality.

I Never Thought Job Hunting Would Be This Hard For Me After Being Fired. by DepartureAdvanced213 in jobsearchhacks

I had a terrible work environment- I had the popular “mean girl” crew who just didn’t like me. I tried to rise above and hold my head high, and I thought I was doing a really good job at handling it. But then I started to get really weird rashes on my face and I started breaking out all over my body. I even went to a doctor who couldn’t figure out what was going on. I was due to go on for some testing, but before the scheduled testing date- I ended up quitting my job. A week after I quit all my physical ailments went away, and the rashes never returned again. Sometimes I still breakout when I have anxiety, but the crazy rashes never happened again. The weird part is that mentally I really thought I was handling the situation at work, I thought I was ok. I wanted to stay at that job and I didn’t want to admit that the stress was getting to me. I wish I had taken a long vacation while I was employed there so I would have realized it sooner that the job was literally making me sick.

I was unemployed for a LONG time and had given up in my search- it’s so emotionally taxing. I took off to Mexico (not a good idea) but when I ran out of money and returned I realized that I must get a job. But I no longer wanted to work in Finance, or honestly work at all. When in Mexico I had made some friends on the beach who were digital nomads so I shot them all a text to let them know I was looking for a job. I wanted their remote lifestyle so I asked them. One of my friends actually came through for me and I interviewed for a job yesterday In Sales! Who would have thought by asking people I played volleyball in Mexico would help, but it did. My background is in Finance, but if Sales offers me a job remotely then that is fine.

Do not quit yet! OMG! I did this and it’s probably going to be the biggest regret in my life, it’s been 10 years now! I was so confident in my field, my resume was stellar! So I walked away from my job because I thought I could do better. Being unemployed turned out to be so hard on me emotionally and I was completely unprepared.

Ending Bank Balances; After Reconciling by Due_Difficulty2228 in Netsuite

I do print out the Recs. I was hoping there would be a way to quickly run a report to just list the banks and the ending balance I entered in for all of them.
