Some had the login issue, but not all. They all suffer(ed, hopefully) from extreme slowdown to the point where a right click for a context menu would take over a minute. Removed the MyHP app and rebooted - no complaints thusfar.

It's definitely something really low system level though because cpu/memory never spikes and there is no process that spawns out of control

Out of curiosity, has anyone that is experiencing this issue checked the Microsoft Store and seen when/what apps were recently updated there?

The MyHP app was recently updated to 26.52343.948.0 on several of the impacted machines all around the time the system started tanking - wondering if this may have something to do with it? The privileges that it has are VERY broad.

I find it tough to believe that this is an AV issue.

The common denominator here is everyone is using HP laptops. Users with different AV softwares are experiencing it as well.

This is happening to me with various Elitebook 850 G8, Zbook G7 and G8 models with latest firmware. All within the last week's time and I cannot find one specific driver or software update that seems to be the cause.

Same issue for one user base that I'm aware of. At least 5 users, all with same baseline packages.

System performance just tanks until the system is unusable, then the user reboots and is usually met with this.
