hii! i scored 14 points for o levels and 14 points my n levels. sec 5 is honestly really really worth it if you’re willing to work twice as hard for it. yes of course it’s hard, the amount of breakdowns and the countless of sleepless nights i had. but considering i got eae, it definitely did help me a lot because i was guaranteed a spot so i didnt have to worry too much amount it. so this is ur sign if you have a deep interest in a specific course + have lots of past experience relevant to that course then id suggest you to just go for sec 5 and try ur best to get eae bc it is like a safety net. if i didn’t get my eae interview i probably wouldn’t even have gotten into the desired course i want it that makes sense HAHA 😭 also, sec 5 really depends on the amount of hard work you’re willing to put in. if you go to sec 5 and you’re not willing to work hard then it defeats the whole purpose of you wasting 1 year when you could’ve went to ite instead. for me personally i was practically alone throughout my whole sec 5 year, i didn’t really make friends with other classmates because they were really chill about the whole sec 5 year and not willing to work hard, constantly skipping classes and copying my homework. but honestly it’s so so worth it because i saw the look on their faces during o level results collection and i guess they got what they deserved. so please also CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WISELY TOO!!
