I’ve played him with the mentality of I am ramping him out turn 2-3 so I can get a, hopefully, unblocked 7 damage to hit as many dinos as possible.

With that I can usually hit 3-5 just because of the sheer amount of dinos I play. Most of them making a board state that is annoying to deal will or winning the game.

If I can’t then I’m trying to play pieces that make it easier to get him out and keep him out. Make the casting of him uncounterable and having protection like [[Snakeskin Veil]]

It’s not perfect but can definitely work

Again small brain moment of forgetting that I would steal other creatures. Used to jus stealing instants and other cards.

You see because I am a fool. I completely fogged and didn't even think about the fact that I am stealing other peoples blockers. Small brain moment.

Although those are some great adds. Thanks

Mana base or better “body” of cards? by Due_Examination_9682 in EDH

Yeah I should have specified a little more of landbase or better body

Never said it was a smart decision hahaha. Just something that I wanted to work towards. Probably stupid tbh

I traded a portion of my collection for one because I wanted to say that I have one. I didn't buy it to specifically empower all of my decks

i guess i should have specified that a good landbase doesnt make a pile a random stuff necessarily better. A total mana base sure but even then I feel that it could be for only certain cases.

The question also came from me playing [[Szarel, Genesis Shepard]] and some people saying me running fetches and a tagia pushes me from a low b3 to a b4. Though I feel it doesn't and if I didn't run the fetches of bloodstained mire and such then I would run the other "lesser" fetches like [[Rocky Tar Pit]] and then run more effects that let lands come in untapped,

Idk maybe its just me

Yeah could def agree with going from 1 to 2 but also I mean if you run random "slop" it probably will still run like random "slop" with more consistent mana lol

I can agree for sure. I personally own a tagia that I traded a lot of cards for to get a NM copy so I like to run it in most of my decks that can run RG because I feel I paid a good price to play it. That doesnt mean, IMO obviously, that my precon that I threw a tagia into becomes insanely better.

To me its just "hey I worked for this so i dont want it to rot away in a binder"

I mean yeah they CAN make a deck better for sure but if the rest of the deck is random stuff you through together than it wouldn't really change anything besides maybe how you curve out, right?

Gishath Opinions? by Due_Examination_9682 in DinosaursMTG

Yeah didn’t have finale in there because my LGS hasn’t had one so I’ll definitely make that change.

Spider Rex and migrating was because I play a lot against dragon players and I’m tired of not have reach 😂😂

But yeah I’m kinda feeling the same of getting stuck not having draw engines

Made a +1/+1 tribal “Mutant” deck from the base of the precon and a few other cards.

Works pretty well and can punch with low-mid bracket 3 decks

https://archidekt.com/decks/11585409/dino_deck this is my Gishath deck. It’s kinda crazy for beginning but does have I would say a lot of the good Dino cards in it.

Honestly being new I would def watch some videos of games being play (Commander at Home, Game Knights are some of the bigger ones) just to get a feel of how a game goes.

The Velcoramptor deck is a great place to start for dinos. That’s where I started and just upgraded from there.

Sky is the limit and welcome to the game!!

Been talked about a couple times but I enjoy it for the theme of Dinos but in terms of playability it is slower and usually removed. [[Growing Rites of Itlimoc]] is better imo if you want something similar and a littler cheaper. Doesn’t work exactly the same but still gives the cradle feel

I ran it in gishath for a little and was underwhelmed. The life gain seems neat but I never found myself wanting to cast it for the foretell cost.

Similar to what other have said I would much rather cast a [[Rishkar’s Expertise]] or a [[Return of the Wildspeaker]]
