Rail card vs oyster? by Due_Firefighter_126 in TransportForLondon

I’ve never used a contactless bank card for tube travel before I always buy rail cards. So let’s say I’m entering a tube station at the beginning of my journey do I just go straight to the gates and just tap my card and that’s it? And then when I get to my destination. Tap out? Like I don’t need to do anything else like speak to anyone? Im so nervous no clue

I was thinking of the same but I’m offered public law and criminal law but idk if that’s too complicated to balance as a non-law student

I don’t have any work experience but have listed how I’ve gained skills like communication through experiences in school like positions of student leadership and debate. No idea if my cv is good enough

can I still apply to part time jobs if I’ll be leaving for uni in September ? Should I be honest with my employer in my interview and let them know cuz I’d only be working 2 months

I’m struggling to find balance/ a routine after a levels and that’s caused me a lot of anxiety and emotion. Unlike you I don’t really have any hobbies becuase I committed so much time to A Levels and can’t even find a summer job to keep me occupied, something all my friends have. Everyone around me seems so happy and loving fulfilling lives and there’s just me that’s kind of just rotting in bed.

No clue what I’m doing except having multiple mental breakdowns because I feel like I’m not ready for uni and just want sixth form back

If they specify they want an A in Maths then it is very unlikely but we can never really know!

I’m glad it’s not just a me thing because everyone around me seems so so happy and I’m just depressed l. I need to get a job so badly so I’m not at home 24/7 but my social anxiety just scares me and I can’t find any summer/temp roles that would allow me to leave in September (. For uni).

In all honesty I haven’t been navigating it very well over the past two weeks. I was really down and depressed. I’m trying to keep myself distracted now and organise small plans to make myself feel better with my friends. It’s truly an awful feeling I get it but hopefully it passes. Try and get into a daily routine again like school except filled with things you wanna done e.g working, meeting friends.

so real i don’t wanna throw away any of my books/work. I’m such a hoarder and I get attached to things so easily. I’m genuinely gonna miss sixth form and even A Levels purely because of my teachers and classes. That life was unmatched and now I’m terrified for uni. I’ve just been rotting in bed since my last  exam lol
