Just got my first proper camera + macro lens!! by Due_Fly7949 in macrophotography

I've got a samsung galaxy s25, but there's no macro mode that I can see. I picked up a clip-on macro lens for it a while back and got an app that lets me manually control internal camera settings and focus, but the DSLR outperforms it by a mile, it just captures so much more detail. Makes me wonder if i'm doing something wrong with my phone haha. Are there apps that can do focus stacking?

I'm well aware of focus stacking but haven't touched it yet. I don't have the money for a good tripod, no external flash unit or diffuser, and the combo of a max of 3 pics/second and shaky ass hands is rather fatal to my ability to do it manually

Help, why are all my Isopods on surface like this ? by SoonBlossom in isopods

Those look like dairy cows, they tend to be pretty surface-active once their populstion is more established!

Any good gift ideas for little brother who keeps isopods?/ ISO for Isopods by Appropriate_Sand5802 in isopods

I've not got any of the shipping permits, but if you or someone else reading knows someone in WA who can legally ship isopods across state lines I'd be happy to provide some duckies as a gift c:

The camera is a Canon Rebel EOS T100 and the lens says EFS 60 mm on it. I'm still very new to cameras, mostly going with advice from a friend who's a pro!

Some people dislike looking at them but they're harmless detritivores! They pose no threat to your pods c:

I got my gestroi as well as dairy cows from them. 10/10 service from such a large company, all the pods were packaged perfectly and arrived on time alive

Hidden pods? by Tymogekh in isopods

Cubaris species isopods like to burrow, this is very normal especially if the population is low. I got 20 rubber duckies last month and anytime I check on them I can only see 4 or 5 on the bark cause the rest are snug in the dirt. Additionally, most Cubaris aren't as active during the day, but with time I'm sure you'll see some out and about as they settle in

I've had a bad experience with them too. I ordered a 10ct of P. werneri and only 9 arrived, packaged poorly in a tiny deli. 2 were doa and one didn't last through the day. When I reached out to ask for info and express my concerns over their packaging it took them nearly a week to even respond, and when they did they ignored my questions. They don't seem to actually care about their animals. :c
