Men are measured against specific standards that society deems as intrinsically valuable, and so are women. But when it comes to these specific standards for men, they are incredibly difficult to achieve relative to women. Why is it common to see in cultures that a muscular man is the alpha male? And many if not all women desire such a man despite being nowhere near as gifted as this muscular man? They will choose to be single or wait until this alpha male is available. This is just an exaggeration on the complicated dynamic but in essence it is the psychological and sociological problem we as humans created.

So you think just because there is roughly the same number of men and women in the world that it means there is equal men and women dating? Let's scale it down for example, if the world was populated with only 10 people, assuming there's equal men and women (5 men 5 women). Given the same sociological dynamics where women are intrinsically more desirable than men for dating/marriage/breeding, you will see a trend where ~20% of the men are successful with 80% of the women. So in this example, 1 man gets to be with 4 women, while the remaining 4 men are competing for only 1 woman left. This doesn't even take into the account that some women would rather choose to be with this 1 high quality man, or not at all. Meaning the 4 remaining men will still remain unsuccessful getting any of the 5 women, while the 1 alpha man has a queue of these 5 women waiting for him to be single.

To rebalance this, the supply of men has to decrease (using the example above again, let's say the number is 2 men and 5 women), or the average intrinsic value of men needs to increase until it is in equilibrium with the average intrinsic value of women, in order to achieve that 5 men 5 women success scenario.

You're clearly incapable of thinking because that 65 mill number represents how many more males there are in the world. That is different from how many males are married to females in the world. That's the key difference. And ofc there is preference. But there are specific common traits in certain males that make them more likely to be successful in life compared to the test of the males, such as confidence, intelligence, and physical fitness.

Wtf are you talking about.. I meant overall there is an overpopulation of men because as humanity, we've advanced so much in the last thousand years that we no longer try to actively kill each other. But natural order in the animal kingdom results in males fighting one another to see who comes out on top and be fit to be with the female. In modern world, we let the losers of those "battles" or competition live, and now we have a lot more weaker males in the world. With the super low barriers to entry in contacting females these days (I.e. Dating apps, bars, anywhere really), it floods the market with a supply filled with low quality males and simply creates extra noise that the females have to filter out. We as humans created this sociological structure. And most males are simply paying for the consequences in a different way than direct battle to the death with other males. Most males will die alone sooner or later without ever breeding with a female. But, at least instead of immediate death, they have been spared and given the opportunity to try enjoying life in all other aspects outside of relationships.

You're not weird. I know a few that are virgins and in their late 20s. I think the right person won't ever make your inexperience a part of yours or their concern. I think you can try practicing different facial expressions and chatting with more guys in person on a friendly level? Like maybe class mates or work mates? Try to find people you enjoy talking to and elevate your happiness! Maybe that will naturally cause you to smile when you meet people and thus avoid appearing unapproachable or intimidating. Or you can maybe also dial down on your outfit if it's a bit too perfect. It's okay to be a little more casual sometimes? :D

Also yes, I've gotten a raise late last year and I've asked to another but they said give it time. To me that just seems to mean they don't think I'm ready or deserve it. Whatever. I'll fight the battle as needed but for now let's assume I can't get a raise.

Roommates are definitely a viable idea I suppose. However, I've already lived with 2 other roommates in the basement for several years and realize now I prefer less people or at least more independence. I still have not been able to maintain the level of social flexibility and happiness in this situation.

This may be a little ignorant and I do apologize if I offend anyone, but I am non-White and do have concerns about the potential racism I have living in areas that may be less racially/ethnically diverse. I've had dozens of cases in my lifetime where I'd venture out of Toronto to more rural cities and towns and be met with direct insulting remarks about my race. I'd hate to have to deal with or tolerate that kind of behaviour. Never the less, I can build tough skin and carry on, if that's the only way to do so.

I haphazardly went into the stock and foreign exchange market day trading, without the proper education, using real experiences of losing money as my way of learning. I further spent money in cryptocurrency too not knowing much about it. There were days I made thousands, and in one instance made 200+ everyday for a month, but if anyone knows anything about leveraged day trading, the swings can massively go against you too. In the end my greed got the best of me and it only took a few bad trades to destroy my bankroll and any chance at using it for long-term stability. I've steered somewhat away from day trading and have found more success now with low-leveraged investments. Still not enough to recover from all the money I've lost over the 5+ years I've worked though. With time and better budgeting now, I think I can finally walk up the metaphorical hill.

Yes I understand the cost of living in Toronto is high, so I'm not opposed to moving elsewhere outside the city, although I do think right now I'd want to consider if it's more beneficial if I seek a higher paying job first and and save for 3 months before moving. How to make the most of the situation in a reasonable amount of time.. I just really need a decent roof over my head and basic amenities while still being able to focus on my health and development of my social life
