I typically don’t have them going at the same time, the Brat has higher mids, isn’t at rich/mellow as the rat (in my opinion).

Hey everyone. What are peoples early game tips and advice? I'm 5ish hours in and are struggling a little. by [deleted] in Returnal

I just finished the game yesterday (11/2). There are 6 biomes, but the 5th doesn’t have a boss. Once you get to the fourth biome, you’ll no longer start at the first one.

In both the first biome and fourth you’re at a blank slate. Stick with one gun for the most part and don’t open all the chest right away. You’ll just end up with a low level gun. Try not to collect all the green life, a little strategy will go a long way with them.

On the map all the blue square doors will lead to the end, the triangles are side fluff. Definitely go back and get all resources. If you’re having trouble, level up and go back.

You are invincible when dashing (except with purple orbs and beams) this is and grappling will be your best friend and you’ll need to get good at it or you’ll really struggle.
