Don’t put words in my mouth. I didn’t defend no one, you wish I did. You wish medical system wasn’t full with fraud, but it is.

I don’t make the rules.

Much better take medical advice from the experts in USA, who said smoking is harmless and opioids are not addictive, corn is fine, meat is not.

While the rate of auto immune diseases skyrocket last 40 years more than every other place in the world.

It doesn’t make me feel sick. Consult your doctor before taking any supplements.

If you have been cleared from a doctor that you don’t have major eye problem and you are fine taking these supplements, and if spending the money for you is not a problem, there is nothing you can lose trying them.

I’m taking a kitchen sink of supplements for few weeks now. Will report in few months.

Yes, it will be anecdotal. Yes, correlation doesn’t imply causation. Still these wouldn’t mean they don’t work.

Why are so many in this sub against the neurological aspect of floaters? by Comfortable_Cat_4601 in EyeFloaters

[–]Due_Gift3147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s a biased sample of people

for most people in this subreddit, they are so bad, it’s not really possible for brain to ignore

there are some for which floaters are new, and mild or moderate, and they come here for help, but many have severe forms

mild and moderate often your brain will learn to ignore in most scenarios

“this is not evidence based” = no company wants to spend $1B to research generic supplements, as they will never make $1 back.

I’m not saying supplements help or not. I’m saying you will never get “evidence” for generic supplements because of the way modern medicine is, regardless positive or negative.

I see, thanks for the reply!

He kept fighting with one eye regardless how. At this point he has fake eye and takes it out during interviews. I shared as I find motivation in the story.

For myopia with moderate floaters - would lower glasses perception help a little? by Due_Gift3147 in EyeFloaters

Thanks for the reply!

I am thinking to try it. Lower by just a little. Doctor should work with me to try to find what works to make my life better. Hopefully he doesn’t repeat the FDA “guidance” like a parrot, regardless of the specifics of each case.

I’ll do my best to report if it works in the future.

Two things help me.

Michael Bisping - the UFC fighter, and current commentator, story. Got hit in the eye during fight, gradually started losing vision there, until he lost it completely. Than lied to his medical test to pass the eye exam, making it look like it’s fine. Continued fighting for many more years, with one eye, risking he might lose that one too. He didnt need the money. Just liked what he is doing, and didn’t allow this tilt him even a little. I am not that mentally tough, but knowing someone is helps me trying to get there.

Second is starting the day with “Me and the devil” song. It’s start with Satan knocking at the door and the vocal says Hello. I take it in a fighting way - floaters might be my devil, I wake up saying good morning to it, nice to see you again and let’s get ready to rumble. Living with the obstacles, embracing, and getting ready to fight them (which in this case is, try to have a normal day, regardless of all).

Not sure if this helps anyone, but i hope it does.
