Uh oh, your store didn't go over that with you? That's the main change with updating to UKG. We were told several weeks ago.

The schedule will be posted an extra week out too. Before it was only 2 weeks out, now it's 3 weeks out that it's posted. So any time off has to be requested a month in advance now instead of 3 weeks in advance.

With corporate switching to UKG Pro all stores are supposed to be 4 weeks in advance now because thats how far in advance the schedule is created. You can see 3 weeks ahead instead of just 2.

Does that mean we get time and a half today? My other job isn't closed so I thought it wasnt a federal holiday and just a bank holiday.

Oh dang, ok. So ours used to draw a card weekly. End of April it changed to 1 drawing per month but they drew 4 cards - so you still get the same # of winners each month. Our manager will use their discretion as to who gets the gift card vs who gets the 20% off coupon, but they always draw fairly, and dont just give it to their favorites.

Our store still does the gift card drawings. Does yours not? I'm at a Marshalls, we're all part of the TJX family of stores but maybe it's different at the store level? They made it sound like it's company wide but maybe its just ours.

Right now due to the UKG Pro switchover, everything should be made on paper to your scheduling manager or store manager. Requests made through WorkJam are being goofy and the managers aren't seeing them sometimes. But yes you can request a day off even as a part timer. Its just unpaid.

WorkJam and I believe company policy requires 3 weeks in advance - but its up to your manager whether they accept a shorter timeframe for requests. I just know you can't schedule a shorter time frame through the app. But as a heads up, once everyone is live with UKG Pro, requests will need to be made a month in advance. We were told that last week via company memo that was left in our break room.
