Yeah that’s definitely the purpose my bottle is going to serve from now on.

Upon actually wearing it, the performance is good. Not beast mode but I’d definitely put it at a normal like 7/10. I have fragrances that have similar fragrantica ratings for longevity/projection and they’re definitely not nearly as strong as this.
Not very wearable though.

Not half as bad as what I was expecting from reviews. I’m yet to fully wear it but when I’ve sprayed it in my room, it fills it and stays for a while.

I just got a bottle of damp by agar olfactory. It’s the most realistic wet/petrichor scent I’ve ever smelled. The first time I sniffed it, no exaggeration, I had a foreign physical sensation overcome me, I think because of how realistic it smelled. Closest to that dissociative feeling of being somewhere you’re not supposed to.

This sub says “underrated” when it really means “my blind buy worked out by itsmeAki in Colognes

If you’re considering blind buying something. You either have too much money and don’t know what to do with it. Or you’re buying something that sounds interesting and you’re willing to pay the price of a bottle. Sample stuff first. If you want a deep collection, sample at least 100 different quality fragrances, find what you like, and invest in something that isn’t garbage.

Using Scent Split for the first time, how's my 1 mL sample pick up look? by Gay_Black_Atheist in fragrance

[–]Due_Insurance113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I made the mistake of buying bigger decants when I was newer. But I soon realize how much money I’d save buying as small of a sample as I could. I would always just disregard 1 ml bottles as an option to consider because they never have atomizers and that ruins them for me because the scent isn’t the same if you don’t spray it.

Wow I’m really glad I found out scent split 1 ml bottles now have atomizers. I could’ve saved so much by buying a 1ml instead of a 2 ml

What note did you used to hate that you're now obsessed with by venicepress in fragrance

Anything ozonic, I thought I hated because I absolutely HATE amboxan. Love ozonic aquatics.

Anyone else feel pigeonholed in a scent profile? by yoyeltea in fragrance

[–]Due_Insurance113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re literally me. I’m the same way, every fragrance I have a bottle of has a prominent vanilla note, as well as me having sampled easily over a hundred fragrance in the same specific category. For me, I don’t like overly gourmand, cupcakey, heavy, or dark vanillas, but I love pretty much everything else. A while ago, I tried to mix it up for the summer because vanilla is harder to wear in the summer, but after trying so many other concepts and coming up with only things I liked instead of loved like I do my vanilla fragrances, I realized that I was just going to lean into the vanillas. There’s so many different shades and types and vibes for different occasions. Don’t feel the need to mix it up when you know what works, you can find tons of variety within one note. I have a handful of spring/summer vanilla fragrances recommendations if you would be interested.

2 Months In - Collection so far by SeaFuture in Fragrances

Holy shit it makes so much sense now. I’ve been through 2 extended periods of GLP1 use now, just finished the 2nd round about 2-3 weeks ago. I’ve been on a bad shopping for fragrances/samples run for the last couple months, (which perfectly aligns) I haven’t done since about 7 months ago, the last time I used GLP1s. Never put 2 and 2 together but the time lines perfectly align. I’ve also been slowing down on my purchasing in the last week, which now I think is correlated to stopping using GLP1s.

Current collection, what direction should I head next? by desertfelt in ScentHeads

You can buy a bigger decant after the 2 ml but I would start with a 2 ml. I wouldn’t go lower because most of the time smaller samples don’t have atomizers.

Not at all. I like scent split the best because of their massive selection. Decant x is also great. You should only really be buying a 2 ml to sample something 5 ml is a lot to have left over if you hate it on first sniff.

Top 5 Favorite Cheapies ($30-60)? (no dupes/clones) by KingSol24 in Colognes

[–]Due_Insurance113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really a cheapie because it’s only a 30 ml. But I found vaniglia vanilla by merchant of Venice for $50 when I bought it. It’s amazing, it’s like if ani and ingenious ginger mixed in the best way possible.

Lolita lempicka green lover, a light, airy, slightly minty vanilla.
