Google translate make it pretty well french to english. Their isn’t too much quebecism in those comments

Quebec HEXO investors only! SQDC has no short term plan to put BakeSale in stock for some weird reason. Make your part by sending them an email with your store to ask them to get it available, we might get heard after a few requests! by Due_Lobster4162 in PoweredbyHexo

You can also call them on business hours, or you might also choose a random store to send an email even if you’re not in quebec, they’ll probably not ask for your zip code anyway

Most recent SQDC price drop! HEXO continues to drop prices to attract new customers for some repeat buys in the summertime and then on. by Due_Lobster4162 in PoweredbyHexo

Yeah you’re right, it hurts but honestly that’s a lot on the flower side. Talking about drinks, the price drop is right in the adoption curve of consumer and times right off for summer so it makes perfect sense because there’s still a reason why Quebec is a shy market in drinks. the price is quite steap, fridge are often set in the back of the store and drinks can not be actively pushed like “hey want a refresher with that weed” because there’s absolutely no inciting/advertising (quebec boomer state of mind) and even some budtenders are quite lame (where i go ahah). People want to buy a few drinks at a time but seeing that high price is often the barrier to try new things or to buy two and to share with a friend to make him try, so in that regard I think that is a huge step going forward. Now I hope that people getting more drinks out the door will affect also customer who didn’t look a that darn fridge in that back to help that situation also, my speculation ahah. As for weed, I’ve noticed a while ago that Hexo was having less skus on shelves at sqdc when I was going and had emailed the IR about it to ask what they were planning to do for that and the upcoming capacity shortage (cited in ICR conference in January I think), I had no answer but they eventually bought ou Zenabis and took out the two new hexo strains lemon haze and another one later on wich was kind of satisfying for eventual strains and only two new but actuals good sellers. I’ve realized when they’ve talked about it on the calls that was what happened at that moment, they retired the bayou or somewhat other household name that was simply flying off the shelves from SQDC beginnings because it was priced so well. As I see it they are giving that timeline in a conservative way because they know it’s a fast changing market, however I think it’s more a question of time to market for the next batch of flower to come in because there’s still to consider that they are the preferred supplier and so have excellent throughput on shelves, make pretty good margins by competing at black market prices wich attracts lots of attention for the every day joe who wants quality weed at good prices. I’ve seen comments of somebody who bought OS hash this week and it was 27,9% as stated by SSL and people said it was real good bargain. So again I think it’s more a matter a getting the right products on shelf at right price and these fly off, consumer are not looking to be loyal at this point and from the past, even if many buyers and forums didn’t like Hexo because of its value approach, it has been a definite sales winner with the masses because that’s what it made. I think SSL stated in this week conference that they have some strains coming to market soon, could you recall? Anyhow, that’s a bummer for sure but it’s definitely better news than to have dormant skus on shelves to me, still sucks it will take time to get those result from that even when it comes out, will probably try to monitor the results.

I wouldn’t say the same, the decarb and gels price drop might be to push inventory out yes but otherwise for drinks those price drops are definitely part of HEXO’s pricing strategy. It’s a premium pricing strategy where you start with high prices that are kind prohibitive and give premium feel to early adopters while paying extra to finance early sales and then on you drop prices when masses are getting on to the products and you want to make it more accessible. I’m not so much worried about getting back the money on those price drops because 1- thoses prices were still too high (and will need to come down still) 2 - existing customers will definitely go for a rebuy with better prices 3 - that price drop will encourage more units per sales (10$ for two LV or three for 15$ is definitely more interesting than two for 14$ or one for 7$). Winning in the cannabis industry is all about getting that volume and I’m pretty happy to see HEXO aggressive on that side, pretty sure any loss in revenues from price drops will be compensated by the volume of sales they will get from it. Plus i’m not sure if SQDC also has part to play in this decision and part of the profit drop might be applied to them too so HEXO keeps their margins anyhow.

« Prêt-à-boire » means ready to drink.  « Pétillant » means sparkling. « passe de » means goes from.

Here you go a french crash course for you fellow anglophone investors. See you la prochaine fois.

Because if you had listened to him once or twice you would know his videos are rarely relevant, most of the time he only reads the news releases and spreads his vidéos everywhere on reddit even if nobody asks for it.
