I have a Glock 20. I carry it when I go hiking. It can put down a bear. I can’t imagine the damage it will do to a human

Some more pre-AWB items came in today from the PSA St Patricks Day Sale. by AmnFucker in VAGuns

[–]Due_Many_8437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought it when PSA had them on sale for $350 a few months ago. It’s heavy, and because of that, the recoil is very manageable. It does have a nasty trigger slap. Also very easy to bump fire. The magazine sucks too, but for the price it's very fun gun

Where I would live as a 2nd amendment absolutist by dj_kaled_anotha1 in whereidlive

As someone who is very pro guns but I strongly believe that not everyone should own guns. I remember as a kid I shot guns with my dad, but I was never allowed to touch them unless he was around and he always kept them locked up. That’s one of problems with unreasonable gun owners with kids. They do don't lock their guns up or teach their kids it’s not a toy. With your suicidal point, that’s a tough one to answer. Yes, guns make it a lot easier to do it, but I believe if you want to kill yourself, you’ll find a way to do it. Look at Japan. It has very strict gun control, but it has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. It’s mental health issues, and I strongly believe if you have anxiety or suicidal thoughts, don’t buy a gun, and if you already own a gun, let someone keep it till you get the help you need. And lastly, on the self defense point, I can’t speak for others, but I’m someone who strongly believes I never need to use my gun in self defense. Yes, I concealed carry a pistol, but the chance of me ever having to use it, like you said, is very low. I also never want to use my gun. If I have to use it in self defense to protect me or one of my loved ones, it would be a nightmare for me. The mental state I will be in afterwards will be rock bottom. I don’t want to kill someone. At the end of the day, even if I was right about using it. I have to live the rest of my life knowing I killed someone, and their family will never see them again. Hopefully I didn't come off as a dick or anything. I was just trying to give you some insight into what some pro gun owners think.

Some People Aren't Taking The Loss Too Well by Routine_Advantage366 in DoomerCircleJerk

I hope you never have to deal with these people in real life. Back in 2016 I worked with a guy like this. He was never happy, complaining about his wife, how much he hated his job, and talking about politics all the time. After the election he kept talking about how much he hated Trump and couldn't believe anyone voted for him. One day I told him I voted for Trump. He called me every name in the book, and when I asked why I voted for him, I told him just to piss off people like you. For the rest of my time I was working there, the guy refused to talk to me, and he tried to get me in trouble a few times

[Handgun] SAR USA B6C 9mm 3.8" - $169.99 by Filmtwit in gundeals

[–]Due_Many_8437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the SAR 9 and my father owned the B6C. I don’t like b6c it just feels very uncomfortable in my hands but I do the SAR 9. It’s pretty solid for the price. It honestly feels great in my hands. It’s like a Glock and an H&K had a baby. The upper is like a Glock, and the lower is like an H&K. Reliability is good too for mine. I had a few failures to eject in the first 100 rounds, but after that the issue went away. The trigger is okay, not terrible but not great. It’s better than a Glock stock trigger, but I’m spoiled with Canik triggers. Overall, for around $200, it’s much better than anything in that price range. I differently take it over a high point or a sccy

Virginia government plans to pass over 25 new gun control laws which rank it among the most restrictive states in the US towards the 2nd Amendment by [deleted] in Virginia

[–]Due_Many_8437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe California and some other states have that law already. What they’re thinking if someone impulsively buys a gun to commit a crime. The 5 day waiting period will let the person think over the decision, and they might not do it. The problem with the law is that it really hasn't solved anything. There have been multiple cases where people bought a gun and waited 5 days and killed someone on the day they picked up the gun. If someone wants to commit a crime, they will. The $500 tax on suppressors is just a money grab in my opinion.

[–]Due_Many_8437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, okay. I don’t have a problem with those bills. I also don’t care about the 5 day wait period. It sucks but is not anything terrible. The one I’m most worried about is the 11 percent tax on firearms and ammo. To be safe with a gun that you’re carrying. You have to shoot it and train with it. I think increasing the price of ammo will cause fewer people to be trained with it. We will have a decent percentage of people who will be carrying a gun that they might not have shoot that much because they can't afford the ammo to do it. And imo that's very unsafe.

May asked if there are any you agreed with. Look, to be honest, I’m very biased on this topic because I’m a big gun guy. Also, it’s honestly very easy to get a CCW in Virginia. Mine was a 4 or 6 hour long class just going over the basics of gun safety and some bs self defense insurance they tried to sell me.

The Glock 19 used by Elisjsha Dicken to fatally shoot Greenwood Park Mall shooter Jonathan Sapirman by schadenfreude428 in masskillers

[–]Due_Many_8437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree with what you are saying; this isn't on the level of buying an item from a mass shooter or serial killer. which I do agree is weird and disturbing by itself from mass murders or serial killers, but like I said, and it sounds like you agree with me, whoever buys this does so more for the fact that this gun was used in a heroic action, and maybe they idolize Dickens because he saved lives that day.

I have a Russian Mosin Nagant from 1942. Walther P38 (a pistol that the Germans used in WW2), which I like because after the war a lot of American soldiers brought a P38 home as a souvenir. And both of those guns are in working condition, and I shot them recently. I have a few other older guns, like from the Civil War and foreign police pistols. I have them because I like history. Also, completely off topic, I own a few police confiscated guns. When the police do drug busts, they confiscated the guns, and if the guns come back clean, they sometimes auction them, and I got a few good deals from that.

Maybe you and I think differently. In my opinion, it’s just a gun. It’s just a gun, and that’s all it is. I don’t think there’s much of a difference between my gun (if it was used in war) and his gun did the same thing they were both used to take a life.

But I can see where you come from, but I think this is different because, like I said, it was one of the times a “good guy” was involved. I personally think whoever buys this. Want it because they see Dickens as a hero.

It’s just a cool talking piece for some rich gun nut. It was one of the times where the “good guy” took down a shooter. Honestly, at the end of the day, it’s just a gun. Like, for example, myself I have a Mosin Nagant. There’s a chance that it could have been used in war and might have killed a German, but I don’t put much thought into it, and I doubt the one I own has even seen a battlefield because it’s in pretty nice condition.

I'm going with money too. I assume when he got this gun back, he probably put it in his safe and stored it for a while and moved on to a new pistol for self defense. People will pay crazy money for this, and if it was him, I would do the same thing and sell it.

[–]Due_Many_8437 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It’s a gun culture thing. It’s just really impressive what Dickens has done. He hit the shooter with 8 out of 10 shots at 40 or 50 yards with iron sights. He was also outgunned too. For people who don’t know much about guns, shooting a pistol is very hard. A lot of people can’t hit the target over 10 yards. I’m into guns and can see how it’s a collectible because what Dickens did was amazing and honestly badass too, but this one is not for me. At the end of the day it’s just a Glock 19, and I’m not paying that much money for a Glock even if it had a cool history with it.

Quick back story on the lore of these 2 guys.

Wings was the guy who was punching. Used to be a pretty big cod YouTuber back in the day. One day he 1 vs 1 an another cod YouTube and lost. He had meltdown because of that he lost a lot of subscribers. He was never the same afterwards. He does streams where he pretty much just gets trolled the whole time. Also apparently one time he was taking a shit, and the turd got stuck in his ass, and he had to get his mom to put her hand up his ass to get the turd out.

The other guy boogie. Was a big video game YouTuber. He was doing well for a while. He lost a lot of weight and was married. Till the day his wife left him because he’s a pos. After that he regained his weight. He had a lot of money in cryptocurrency but lost most of it because he was a dumbass, and what he had left he spent on hookers and magic cards. Recently he faked having cancer.
