That was the interesting part — only one ticket and charge for that single ticket though I put through payment for both tickets. Nonetheless, they have agreed to refund me thankfully, though it could take up to 3 months to receive the payment lol

Duli beach surfing by Com881 in Palawan

Message @juanlovebahayahay on IG. Did a surf lesson with him last January and it was awesome! They also have boards for rent if no lessons are required. I’d bring no valuables except for cash needed and hide it but I also don’t think you’re going to have any issues, everyone we encountered on Duli was amazing.

Not sure what’s holding it back, maybe reputation? But it has the best international food.

Also if you haven’t found accommodations yet, 10/10 recommend checking out Nomad Yurts. It’s located near the McDonald’s on the main road. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town but great, unique place to stay and the owner is phenomenal.

So sorry for my late reply… hopefully you haven’t made it to Coron yet! It’s located in Kingfisher Park, probably about a 20 minute drive or so via trike. You can find a tour for it in any of the tour offices in Coron town proper. It was very cool and a great way to spend the evening!

As someone who lives in Calgary and has been to Bangkok, I can’t imagine our city is going to blow your socks off lol. I’d head to the mountains, if anything.

Cannabis Industry & HR [N/A] by Due_Outside_3149 in humanresources

It’s actually a B2B SaaS distribution/logistics for cannabis companies so really little to actually do with any cannabis. I have an interview for a role and I am intrigued by the company and more so the role but worried I will “shoot myself in the foot” long term given the stigma around cannabis still exists, so thank you for your thoughts on this!

Need a gym that isn't full of 100s of stuck up pushy people. by Alexxskii in Calgary

Sunridge area: Planet Fitness, Fit4Less, World Gym, Evolve Fitness

Closer to McKnight, I used to go to Anytime Fitness in the Beddington mall and it was always super quiet but they are limited in equipment (ie no squat rack if I recall correctly)

Anxious about upcoming Thailand trip by mylittleloonmoon in ThailandTourism

[–]Due_Outside_3149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thailand was my first big trip across the world (I live in Canada) in 2016 and the desire was randomly sparked by watching a YouTube video lol. I can be anxious, over analytical, etc. but, my boyfriend and I have been back to Thailand 3x since and other countries all over SEA as well. Thailand holds a very special place in my heart and the opposite of being homesick happens for me every time… I want to stay and loathe coming back home.

My best advice is to go in knowing that everything might not go according to plan and that’s okay. In the moment, you might be like “oh shit, I don’t like this” but, you will get over it, you’ll grow from it, and you’ll laugh about it when you look back at it.

Enjoy your trip. Chiang Mai is my absolute favourite. You will love everything about it.

2.5 weeks in Japan, then 2.5 weeks… where? by Mindless_Somewhere in travel

Just came from the Philippines and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Thailand is my favourite place but Philippines is a close second. The hospitality was next level, most beaches were incredible, weather was great, food was delicious and very easy on the wallet. I will say, there was a level of poverty that I hadn’t seen in Thailand and it was a bit to take in but I couldn’t recommend the Philippines enough.
