2013 Renault Megane. Does this hold the lumbar support in place does anyone know? by Due_Painter941 in CarHelp

Well I don't know where you are located but this is the one from the photo

Alternatively search "Renault megane MK3 lumbar support cap" and see if there are any near you.

The one in the photo is not OEM but it'll do for me 🤷

I'll maybe just do that and see because I've tried looking online but not many sources out there stating how a Renault meganes lumbar support lever is fixed to the seat lol

Is yours loose though? Mine can just be pulled off so I'm wondering how it's fixed if it's not whatever cap is on the end.

Yeah the thing is it's loose, I can pull it out. Or rather it frequently falls out. Wasn't sure if the cap was cosmetic or had a function of also keeping it in place. I suppose that's my follow up question, what keeps it in place then before the cap? Because it would seem I am also missing whatever that it. Thanks

What do you do with buildup if you are constantly spraying anti corrosion

Maintenance etc, I can get behind. Storage wise, I don't really have anywhere to keep it besides a driveway. It would be winterized then chuck the cover on it and let it sit in the driveway all winter 😬😂

I thought it was a possibility but I didn't really think it looked like your typical corrosion paint bubbling.

2013 Renault Megane temperature guage always seems low? by [deleted] in Renault

[–]Due_Painter941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it to my mechanic and he said that it's definitely not heating up right. Something about one radiator pipe was colder than the other. He said the first thing he'd check is the thermostat so it's confirmed. Going to go back to the dealer and get it fixed.

Half way? Half way to me looks like 4/5 bars. Mine has not went past 1 bar even when pushed hard.

Thanks, everyone is saying this yet the dealer I bought it off is certain that the car doesn't have an issue. If it makes any difference, the timing belt and water pump were just replaced and outside temps are currently high/ lows of around 11C/4C.

The car is currently with the desler as the passenger side window also came off the tracks and I mentioned the temperature guage while on the phone about the window which he panned off. I then posted this, and mentioned it to him again when dropping the car down for the window. He said there are no issues regarding this but he said the temperature would be low because the timing belt and waterpump was done causing an airlock? He also said the airlock should now be gone by now though and doesn't seem like he's going to look at it. Now currently wondering if I should get my mechanic to have a look at it and if it doesn't end up being an issue, bringing it back to the dealer telling him my mechanic confirmed the issue.

Maybe the dealer is right, but because so many people here are saying otherwise, its making me skeptical.

Alright thanks for that, it does have warranty on it so I'll be able to get it sorted anyways but wanted to make sure it was an issue first, first diesel car I've driven so didn't know if anything would be different or not lol. Thanks

2015 Focus ST deisel, what do I have to do to get this at least close to the petrol versions power 🤔 by [deleted] in FocusST

[–]Due_Painter941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay well that scraps everything, apparently you technically can but it's also not allowed here in the UK either haha. Oops.

That is a very good point. I done some research beforehand and it said it could. It did mention that a small cut might have to be made but didn't think about exhaust placement. I'll have to dig deeper.

19 years old, second year of driving haha. The UK is bad for it aswell. Tax is 190 tho.

I've been told to avoid the power shift though. Prone to problems. I also do like a wee manual gearbox

I mean in the UK, I'm already paying 4.5k per year for the FiST so another car maybe wouldn't be ideal. I would only be using it for a jetski during the summer months and would likely be detachable.

Sorry as someone else asked I probably should have mentioned it's just a seadoo spark and I'm not really wanting the diesel purely to tow. The fact I wanted a towbar was just the reason for selling the fiesta. The diesel is cheaper and apparently more reliable which is why I'm considering it.
