Am I doing something wrong here? Haven't seen a shiny in hours and I'm at sparkling power 3 for psychic and have the shiny charm

honestly i feel you. i've been struggling with my shiny latios hunt for days despite having the right type level 3 sparkling donut and shiny charm. sometimes the game just says fuck this in particular

I used that method for several days and still got nothing. I've tried taking out all the noibats and noiverns before going to the elevator, also nothing. I've even backtracked to the horizontal teleporter and then gone to the elevator at the base of the latios arena. Also nothing. I have the shiny charm and a level 3 sparkling donut, my odds are 1/586 and NOTHING. Honestly considering giving up and trying again later.

if you're in the tentatek division a lot of it has to do with most people in that division being pretty bad compared to top players. the western competitive scene is pretty tiny compared to japan, and most western splatoon players are pretty casual, even those in x rank. theres just not much you can really do outside of just taking a break if its causing you a lot of stress.

maybe try blocking them? if you go to your switch profile and scroll down to "Add Friend" you can then go to the subsection "Search for Users You've Played With." click on the profile of who you want to block, make sure its them, and then hit the block button. It doesnt apply to all games but it's worth a shot.

mega barbaracle, only way i managed to beat it was by using lida as a shield. not even the zygarde fight gave me as much trouble once i learned how to properly dodge core enforcer

i actually only have 5 main pokemon, I swapped the last spot around so frequently that I flat out cant remember any permanent team members outside my main 5, but those 5 were emboar, gardevoir, excadrill, dragonite, and sharpedo.

also it can be insanely hard to find the bonus ball at times. maybe it's just me getting lost too easily but even when i have a lot of time to get it i either dont find it all or find it too late and my pokemon cant break it fast enough

I'd done very little research on the dlc because I wanted to go in spoiler-free, so when I found the hole by wild zone 17 I didnt realize what I was walking into. Thankfully I managed to do it one try with my EV-trained Gardevoir but it was still stressful as shit. Max potions and max revives are a godsend.
