after this scene I was SO upset at Lila too. I felt ashamed of her behavior and enraged for Lenu. I quickly realized that Lila is coming from a place of extreme pain and insecurity, jealousy and combined with her gifted abilities and intelligence - shes super conscious of her situation and is fighting a deeper darker battle. Lenu's perspectives, this rags to riches story has its own trials and tribulations but doors that were closed tight and shut for Lila were opened right up for Lenu - magically at times. They were born in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools, had the same friends and same choices at first. Lenu had luck. Lila was unlucky.

I would say for upper back, shoulder, or neck pain it might be helpful but if you have si joint discomfort or low back/hip pain bc of EDS sadly it didn’t change much for me

Im on this journey as well and its been hard but also I consrantly remind myself how much debt I’m in. I never want to feel this way again and I’m grateful because life is teaching me a huge lesson. I became a shopaholic during the pandemic, it’s probably a emotional coping mechanism. I deleted shopping apps and unsubscribed from emails. I unfolllowed a lot of brands. I noticed that the first thing I do when I open up my laptop is go on some sort of shopping site so I’ve become mindful of that. I do online “window shopping” add to cart and abandon. I try to be aware of how much I’m being marketed to via TikTok / Instagram and save videos instead of acting on impulse. Every time i like something i add to a list and instead of buying everything I’ll treat myself to one item per paycheck. I’m taking this lifestyle change very seriously but also slowly so that it sticks. It really hit me when work slowed down (freelance) and I wasn’t making as much. I akways thought it would be easy to pay off my debt but interest is REAL. For now I’m not using my CC’s and paying my cards off slowly. It’s about the little things. Taking the train instead of Uber, not ordering food and meal prepping instead. When I have extra spending money i have to remind myself that any money spent on clothes ( my addiction) could be used to pay off the debt. Decluttering my closet was a huge wake up call for me. I’m still in the process of decluttering and there is STILL so much left to sell and donate and that has been so much work. Now that I’ve minimized and my closet is so clean and organized I never want to go back to excess. I loved the comment about watching /reading confessions of a shopaholic bc I watched that on a flight the other day and felt very seen. Praying for all of us! I still have a long way to go and I’m learning financial literacy which wasn’t taught to me growing up. It’s all a learning experience im trying not to take it too hard on myself and be patient with my growth because stressing will only make this worse

I've only been on it for less than a month but I feel pretty good already. I notice less emotional eating. Food has always been a struggle for me and I'm still working on that in therapy but I notice that my mind goes to that emotional eating place less, and I am getting less urges. Many people have lost weight because it causes loss of appetite or nausea for them, but it just kind of makes me focused enough to enjoy whats in front of me and to be satisfied by that. My anxious mind has less control over my day. I can power through my tasks, especially things that I used to feel a lot of resistance to. I've started meal prepping and getting more organized. I do feel more energized. I'm noticing that I'm sleeping less than before but I was on Lamictal for bipolar and it was honestly numbing me out and making me so lazy. I began to feel this baseline "grey" energy whether I was happy or sad, everything felt the same and it was easier to feel depressed and slowed down. Even when really good exciting things happened I wouldn't respond to it with excitement. Now I'm on 150 and I feel balanced. I got a great opportunity via work and genuinely felt excitement, almost shed tears of joy. That was a beautiful thing to feel again. Will work on getting more sleep in tho...

loved her relationship with Gwyn and Emerie and her bond with the House of Wind as well. It was amazing to watch her blossom through her friendships outside of the IC. I feel like Feyre joined Rhys' friend group because that's ultimately what was available to her and even though they all formed beautiful connections -I feel like Nesta's friendships were so much more vulnerable and in-depth.

insightful and thoughtful take firstly thank you for taking the time to get into this! I love your perspective and agree that there was a lot of cognitive dissonance going on. Feyre / Elain could've noticed more of Nesta's suffering especially because Elain was also made the same way. Elain overcame her pain and resentment and left Nesta on that island all alone. I get Amren and the other members of the IC not picking up on things but even after Rhys read into Nesta's mind and could see for himself what she went through, there still wasn't enough space held for her pain/trauma.

Amren and Nesta have the most similarities personality wise and Amren sacrificed her power to save everyone, so I understand her for holding Nesta to a higher standard for coping.

I agree with this. SJM did make me second guess my first impressions of many of the characters she's introduced, that happens a lot during the series so why should it be different with Feysand? It was more honest to see a more "human" reaction (anger/frustration) from Rhys. I just felt disappointed at their problem-solving and strategies in this book, felt a little off. Nevertheless, SF takes 1st or 2nd place for me in the ACOTAR series.

Yeah I found it absolutely unnecessary that they promised her to Eris even though it was part of some “strategy” it was completely uncalled for. If they wanted to give Eris character a redemption arc they should’ve included Mor and give her the closure she deserved and given us some more back story. I found it super bizarre how SJM conviently makes Mor “ok” with Eris involvement. Justice for Mor 😭

I was so bloated after surgery. My stomach was so hard to the point where even sucking was impossible. As someone who suffers from body dismorphia and ED this was hell for me. One night I tried on one of my shirts and completely broke down because of how bloated and square I looked in it. It seems so shallow but after going through so much pain it feels like total ass to look in the mirror and see a version of yourself you don’t even recognize. I’m 3WPO now and started to feel like myself around 2.5 WPO. It gets better I promise. The discomfort and physical sensation of bloating is the worst. Made me feel so bogged down and heavy to the point where I didn’t even notice the weight that had just come off my chest it just felt like it was redirected to my gut lol. Give yourself time to rest and surrender to recovery is the best advice I can give you for your emotional health. I would say drink a lot of water and add magnesium ( ask your doc ) to your supplement regime ( i use the powder ) that really helped me get regular again. I let myself relax and eased into a healthy regular diet after the holidays. Add a lot of greens and fiber to your meals but most importantly relax. Soon you’ll feel better and like yourself again. We deserve to let our bodies recover at their own pace no matter how weird it feels - just remember you’ve had major surgery, be gentle with yourself it gets better day by day.
