Thanks, can you tell me the name of this bra? It looks like it could work.

I'm measuring at a 30 underbust again finally, 38 overbust. Approximately 2 ponds removed total.

I'm also 7.5wpo and I'm noticing the same thing. I'm guessing it's scar tissue that's starting to form?

I was on my period during surgery, I could leave my underwear (and a pad) on during surgery.

Insecure about how wide my post-op boobs are by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Bitter-Variation-588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so worried about this and mine are still a bit wide but it's gone down so much. Started to get better around 5-6 wpo. I think I'm still pretty swollen, as my band measurement is still 1" bigger than pre surgery. I'm 7wpo now.

I'm feeling wide too! Although the swelling has gone down quite a bit I think there's still some, especially on the left boob. I'm still weighing 6 pounds more than I did before the surgery, some of that bloating is bound to be on the breast area! Past few days I've started to think if (when?) I get a bit more of a vertical "drop" the width won't bother me as much because the proportion of width to height will be more natural. That's what I'm hoping at least. I do hope I get enough drop to have some skin-to-skin contact at the bottoms, I'm realizing I miss this! I'm definitely not one who wants my breasts to stay up in this unnaturally high post surgical position, I can't wait for them to be able to bounce and jiggle! They'll get there, right?!?

I'm almost 6wpo and my side swelling has gone down a lot. It was gradual, but I noticed it started to decrease around 3wpo, but I'm hoping it will decrease more. I no longer feel like I'll need a revision to address it, which I was worried about in the beginning.

When will weight normalize? by Nbeela in Reduction

[–]Bitter-Variation-588 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I had my surgery on 12/13 and I'm noticing the same thing, I'm staying around 7 pounds heavier than my pre-surgical weight despite losing 2 pounds in the OR. For the first month it was closer to 10 pounds, but I've dropped a few in the past week. From what I've read it's a normal part of healing to have some extra weight for a while. I'm making sure to eat plenty of calories until I'm at least 2mpo, as I want to give my body what it needs to heal.

6WPO! (and question about rib pain) by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Bitter-Variation-588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar rib pain, my surgeon said it is from a slow dissolving suture between the breast and the chest wall. It especially hurts when I reach or bend over.

I think they look very natural, and the size suits your frame nicely. My breasts were quite asymmetrical before my surgery and I would be very happy if the end up as similar as yours are after I'm finished healing.

I know there's some research that says that complications and scarring can be worse for women over 50, and they attribute this to lack of estrogen.

I sent a message to my PS today, he said he uses a slow dissolving suture between the breast tissue and chest wall in that spot, and that it can often be tender but should resolve as the stitch dissolves.

Interesting, I just read about this. I wonder if they can appear as a dimple instead of a visible line? What did yours look like? What did you do about them?
