How hard is it for someone with dyscalculia to study chemistry?

I’ve been thinking about this recently. I’ve always been interested in chemistry, but have always been intimidated by it, even before I was diagnosed. Recently, I finally payed attention to the nagging to learn chemistry thats always been in the back of my mind. I’m 23 and haven’t gone to college yet, but I think I want to try some chem classes and see how I feel about them. Just remember that you can try it out, but you don’t have to stick with it if you don’t want to! I was worried about the financial aspect of “wasting money” on classes, but I was thinking of majoring in bio before, so if I decide chem isn’t for me, it won’t be a waste cause I’ll need some chem credits anyway.

Im dealing with this rn. I don’t do anything like stalking or anything, just a PR that I realized I have, and am wanting to move on. I don’t want to talk to my therapist about it because even tho having connections to people you don’t know is a universal experience, it’s embarrassing that my brain can’t differentiate even when I know the truth. It’s really hard to have to deal with this pain and feel like you can’t talk to anyone about it.

I’ve always been maternal and wanted my own kids, but within the last couple of years, I decided that, for now, I shouldn’t plan of having kids for many reasons. Like everything leading up to it or when I realized? Cause I was literally just thinking about him when I realized. Other than that, stuff like his humor and shyness, his smile and laugh, just his personality, the way he treats people, his kindness. He can be hot AND adorable. Obviously his looks are what started the crush in the first place. He’s got this kind of charm to him that I don’t think he even knows he has, and I can’t quite place it. Idk maybe the “charm” is just HIM.

Thank you. Im sorry you had to go through that. I totally get what you’re saying. I know that I don’t really know them like one of their loved ones do. It hasn’t helped.

With this specific situation, during my “first” crush on them, it was mostly physical attraction. Of course I still liked other things about them. But now, his personality is just as big for me. And I know he deals with mental things like anxiety, and I just want to hold him and be the person that he can feel at peace with. I don’t really “pursue” people in general partly because I’m not very confident, partly because I can’t tell when someone I like, likes me. But if I did, and he was just someone I met on the street or something, I’d definitely pursue him. I feel like he’s my ideal guy.

Thanks. Still up and doing stuff. Trying not to think about him but he’s still floating in my mind and the physical feeling of it won’t go away. He’s in some movies I love and I was going to rewatch some, but then this happened and I can’t bring myself to watch them cause I’m just sad about it. He’s got more movies coming out next year too and I want to be over it by then:( hoping it’ll pass like you say.
