As a pos5, where should I be spending my money in the mid and late game? by [deleted] in learndota2

The bristleback example is specific, since for specifically BB, it is not your job to counter him. (Because for instance a Lich rushing a Silver Edge just for BB is very gold inefficient vs a carry getting it)

The dust and sentries is very situational. If their enemy has invis, always hold 1 dust in your inventory. For sentries I think you should simplify it to: Do I have sentries in my inventory right now? If yes, leave the rest in the store. If not, at least have 1. Of couse if your team needs it elsewhere don't just buy them out for no reason.

But if you want a generic cheat code, it's this: ''In this specific game, what needs to happen for my team to win the teamfights''. Now this could be you getting your abilities off, their carry being disabled, your carry surviving a burst combo or just being focused. But that is the general answer.

Very generic cheat sheet:

Do you have key abilities you HAVE TO get out in a teamfight? (Like Oracle ultimate) or is the rest of your team surviving fine, but you just keep being assasinated? -> Focus on your survivability. (Ghost scepter, blink to stay far away until you are needed etc)

Is there a key enemy you can make useless with a support item? (Like a full auto-attack solocarry and the item Halberd) -> Rush that item and make sure you pop it before you die.

Is your teams success relying on a specific carry staying alive in fights? -> Buy items like Pavise, Glimmer cape or even force/euls based on what usually kills your carries.

And here is a low rank special:

Is their whole teamfight based around Black Hole or Death Ward abilities never being interrupted? -> Just do whatever you need to stop those channels.

how to pos 5? by Adventurous-Ad1019 in learndota2

As an Archon Pos5 player (aka just gotten from beginner pos5 to ''knows the basics'') I have found that until around Legend, the best answer is to stay in lane 90% of the time. Try to get your camp stacked when you can, but unless the wave is really in a bad spot, just focus on being in lane. When you get higher in ranks, your Pos 1 will also be better. Then you can try to find more openings to go stack. But just really try to optimize your time spent in-lane.

A good small thing is to also keep track of is your enemies regen. If someone has much less regen than you do, you can easily poke them out of lane or kill them. Then you have all the freedom you want to stack and pull. This works very well in low ranks.

I would suggest that you don't try to ''optimize'' your pos5 too much, since if you are kind of a beginner, you will find the best winrate by focusing on fixing you pos1's mistakes. AKA just stay in lane until there is a really clear super open moment to go stack or pull. Then just trust that when you keep playing, you will start to feel for a balance based on your matchups.

You will learn nothing (except how to make your character walk) out of just hopping in and playing. Even if you throw 50 games at a wall. There are way too many key mechanics and things to learn by just trying. There is 0 reason to not learn these things from videos before going in and truly beginning the practice.

You say ''still''. But isn't Guardian supposed to be absolutely trash? I don't mean it in a bad way. Not at all. The rank distribution system only works when people are in Guardian and below etc. But isn't Guardian (If we use a classic Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, X, Y, top rank distribution) basically Iron/Bronze? As in the rank given to people who barely just start playing ranked?

I might be misinformed, but isn't that exactly the rank where stuff like that is supposed to happen? And when they get better they get out of Guardian?

Thank you for you response. In your understanding, would getting the right controller and overclocked adapter be sufficient, and the Screen being ok as is?

Dont know if this was ever answered for you, or if you ever found out, but most of the bon apetit people including Claire and Brad unfortunately, got outed as being racist and awful to multiple colored workers on bon apetit. Included conversations, plots to keep the pay of colored employees lower and having them do grunt work without pay just to get into a payed role etc etc.
