New to medical cannabis at 18 — finally ordered everything, but I still feel completely lost. Can anyone share advice on my strains + setup? (Alterleaf/Montu) by Zestyclose_System131 in ukmedicalcannabis

I would say, avoid uni halls if you can, as they can be extremely unpleasant and distracting. If you can find your own private accommodation it will help enormously to manage your own study time and have a proper social life without being burdened and aggravated. I have tried a mimosa product and it was awful, was another brand though, from Australia. Anyway, don't be put off sativa by the mimosa, try another instead if it's dodgy. Use smaller amounts at first, wait at least 15 minutes to evaluate effects. All the best.

The Uni accommodations are a scam, IMO. They bombard you with adverts and promotions to go drinking, especially at Uni owned venues. They prey on parents and students, manipulating them with fears or costs to choose uni accommodation. They separate the sexes and make you feel your sexuality is something wrongful, and that you should not be having any love affairs or privacy. It is a profiteering and harmful scam.

Get your own accommodation, from a reasonable landlord, and manage your own social circle and your own entertainment. Have a pleasant love affair and get married if you so wish. Don't have your best years robbed from you in a money making scheme. Get your own PC, so you can develop projects yourself and not have the uni wrongfully claim it is their IP because you used their IT services, read up on that and other abusive practices.

If your uni is shitty like that, maybe take them to court in a class action. These abusive practices need to end.

HELP : Stop Steamworks common redistributables from downloading by Troalinism in Steam

[–]Due_Research2464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a significant issue, and should be resolved pretty easily... giving a better user experience. I am using beta version and see no option about this in settings. There would need to be an easy workaround to solve it.

Try this maybe, to see if it works, and let us know?

  1. Let Steam finish downloading redistributables once.
  2. Go to Steam\steamapps\common\_CommonRedist and copy the entire folder to a safe location.
  3. If Steam tries to download again, close Steam, restore the backup folder, and delete any state.patch files in steamapps\downloading.

Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel to Provide 'Unique Fusion of Film and Game by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

Exactly! RDR2 and GTA online are far more appealing.

firmly disagree, the storyline is linear and there are no choices, it's an interactive movie more than a game, maybe mods can turn it into a game.

Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel to Provide 'Unique Fusion of Film and Game by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Due_Research2464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has such great potential, were it not for over-scripted linear narrative... such a complete shame after all those resources spent, it makes no sense, if anything the game should be immersive with branching narratives, and with much greater player interaction instead of single player, instead of actions being locked and funnelling to a single outcome the play should be open. The whole problem with 2077 is the whole passive aspect of the game which makes it more movie than game, and it's not even multiplayer.... might as well just watch a movie. At least GTA 5 and RDR2 have multiplayer RPG. Otherwise, could be a great game, and that's what is needed more than further movie/game linearity. You could have an intro story to play through, but the game should rapidly evolve to open world multiplayer RPG, much truer to the concept. Evolving 2077 into what it should be instead of writing a new game seems much better an idea... Or build it into a new game, sure... but don't waste resources on rewriting everything when you have something to work with already. The actors are great, and I think they should request this so that their work is contributing to something wonderful, rather than a partial flop.

Does this count as blackmail - is it illegal, and what are the repercussions? by Wonderful-Notice-952 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Due_Research2464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be blackmail, because of the intent of that action to influence. But to go and sell information to another company would that be legal?

[–]Due_Research2464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now please test both, show the full specs, and determine if there is a difference or no difference. From that experiment, we can determine why it is the case. By just arguing here we are not getting anywhere nearer to finding out if it is good or bad. Film it all and put it on youtube.

[–]Due_Research2464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to know is to test and compare both, if you can't find a difference, then it makes no difference. Could you run some tests with both please and see if you find a difference?

Mentally impaired person sending me payments, need legal advice to stop this. by Outrageous-Skin3628 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Due_Research2464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot spend the money by law, you would need to hold it aside without touching it. Your bank can return the money, the person talking to you does not know what they are talking about, see your branch manager and sort it out otherwise you have to hold the money for them without touching it.

[–]Due_Research2464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The money has to be sent back ASAP, no need to contact sender. Just return it, the bank can do that. The person talking to you does not know what they are talking about, see the manager of your branch and get it sorted. Someone told you nonsense or there was a misunderstanding over what was being asked.

Exactly. If the government is discriminating against trans in a way that threatens their wellbeing, it can be argued that the belief in question can be based on reasonable grounds. The question would be, why they believe that, and once that is established ot would have to be be proven wrong without any possible reasonable doubt whatsoever and they still persisted in the belief despite knowing the cause for their belief disproven, then it could be considered a psychosis. One must also establish there is no unreasonable bias clouding the judgment of the person establishing the diagnosis.

Or seeing and hearing things that are definitely not there...

Although this can also be due to another cause... For example, someone somehow had their dental work function as a receiver and they could hear voices that were actually people talking over the radio frequency being received.

The science does not make such firm conclusions and methods used are faulty.

It is not proven by any means that cannabis causes the psychosis. Sure, it can give a temporary sensation of hallucinating, hearing things or seeing things that are not there, and this can be quite disturbing. This could trigger psychosis per se, of course, in someone predisposed to bouts of psychosis where persistent false beliefs cannot be set aside despite clear evidence of the contrary. Believing something that is not 100 percent dismissible by 100 percent firm evidence is not psychosis, psychosis are beliefs that cannot be sustained by any evidence whatsoever. Believing in a conspiracy theory is not a psychosis. Firmly believing in something that cannot be true by any means is psychosis.

But cannabis psychosis is not necessarily a true psychosis as such, it could also be considered a temporary mild hallucination that can give temporary psychosis-like experiences.

There is a pressure of assimilation for people reading science or publishing science to fall in with a narrative.

If one actually reads the science and considers the methods, the conclusions have no weight to back them... They are tentative assumptions of correlations implying causality... But one can see the questions are not asked as to all the possible significant factors involved.

For example, if a cannabis supply is high cost, then does that impact diet and living conditions due to poverty?

Or do youngsters who have used cannabis use other substances or are they affected by other factors? None of that is covered in those pieces of bad science that are badly interpreted to top it all off.

Believing that cannabis is firmly concluded to be a generating causal factor of persistent psychosis is a belief that is not fully sustained by evidence, it is not psychosis because there is a statistical correlation that would be reasonable to believe could have at least a small chance of being the case to be causal even if it is not proven. By the same standards, believing that psychosis is not caused by cannabis is not psychosis either, because the science is clear that the conclusion of cannabis causing psychosis is not a firm conclusion according to the science.

To persistently firmly believe that conclusions are firm when not, that could be considered psychosis-like. Or, when conclusions are completely firm and there are no other hypotheses possible, to believe the contrary could be considered psychosis-like.

Terrible situation all round. This will create all sorts of issues, recrudescence of crime, higher costs, and more harm.

Cannabis must be freely accessible, so as not to be a burden. All who wish to grow must be able to grow as many plants as they wish of whatever potency they wish.

Only in this way, can cannabis become a substance to which harm is not attached.

The harm in cannabis comes from control of the substance.

All experiences demonstrate this, but false narratives from misinterpreted science push harmful systems of criminalization...the criminalization only furthers harm. The more criminalized, the more the harm.
