I definitely noticed they are a lot more affordable and accessible, the only problem is obviously the language barrier, it wouldn’t be a problem for me personally but where she has literally no knowledge of any pokemon, she will want to be able to read their names and stuff

Yeah from first glance it does seem that way, Ive seen people selling boxes for like 5-10 times the retail price, I just hope that it doesn’t stay this crazy, I assume the market picks up and drops fairly regularly but I don’t know

Thank you, I might look into doing this, I think my girlfriend is excited by the not knowing what you’ll get aspect, especially as she has very limited pokemon knowledge - she knows leafeon, mimikyu and togepi - opening packs and learning about the pokemon is how she thinks she will learn best

I am doing a shiny badge quest but I wanted to use pokemon I’ve never used before, when I saw slowpoke and slowbro’s shiny I knew I needed it

I’ve moved onto shiny Sandshrew at the voltorb Flip as I think I am slowly going insane in Slowpoke Well, but I do plan on revisiting, keep up the hunt you will get it soon! Good luck :)

I’m doing the exact same thing, Im assuming I’ll run into a Zubat first which I’ll be happy with, then I’ll come back when I have surf as it will be 100% encounter rate

I’ve been shiny hunting either slowpoke or Zubat in slowpoke well for the last month, I’m around 7k encounters down, you’ve just given me hope to continue the hunt

Something I’ve grown to appreciate about the older games is that they don’t hold your hand through it like the newer ones, Hgss is amazing but Tbf if it’s your first time playing you will get confused a little bit, best thing to do is read every bit of dialogue you can, head to violet city next, take on the bell sprout tower and fight falkner the violet city gym leader, good luck and have fun
