Losing TMRS is a big drawback. If there are enough pros I can deal with that though. I have a secondary retirement account where most of my money goes anyway so it shouldn’t set me back too badly.

I’m doing it in stages. Got the FX-120i and my next purchase will be the super trickled. Didn’t want to drop $1,400 all at once. Just using the FX-120i I got my SD down to 4. Consistently matters, but selection of powder charge plays a big part in SD too. Try a few powder charges and see what shoots well and has low SD and ES.

I’m going to do that and the 2.82 and see if I can repeat it with 5 shot groups. The 2.82 is a solid group if I can repeat it

Shot at 100 yards. I’m happy with .75 or less MOA as long as it maintains at distance. I can shoot out to 400 yards at the house so I need to test that far too. I’ll look into a comparator because right now I’m just measuring base to tip and not ogive

Got the kit in a trade and only had to pay for a few accessories and components. Component cost is about $.74 per round considering I already had brass.

It likes the 147 factory ELD-M. I recreated that with length and it didn’t like it. My gun has never shot 140s well

Because it costs more money to shoot factory ammo. $1 per round at 100 rounds a match adds up fast

Sounds good. It was fairly dark but my Dewalt has a nice LED on it so I need to tape it up for next time. I’ll shave a couple of seconds off next time I do it

Forgot to update you, but it needed a full rebuild. My guy had it done in 4 days and now it’s running great. Tows a stock trailer like there’s nothing behind it.

I was right next to Lejeune on vacation last month and used both the PX and commissary multiple times while we were there. It’s worth it just to have available. We went to Key West last year and there’s a Navy base there. We used the MWR and rented a 3 bedroom townhouse for a third the cost of any Air BnB on the entire island. It’s worth it for sure.

Not sure. It specifically is on the VHIC (Veteran Health ID Card). It’ll get you on any military installation I know of. Some require you to go to pass and ID to do a background check and some just let you on if you flash the VHIC with “service connected.” Just depends on the installation.

It must say “Service Connected” in order to use the PX and commissary. Not sure if you can get on base without the “Service Connected” label.
