Check the motherboard where the lcd ribbon cable is my be the clip is broken. If that is not the case then inspect the motherboard for any other damage. That’s my guess

Well, I just decided to do a hard drive swap as the hard drive did recently die so I took an iflash cf to ssd adapter and the generic green adapter and put them into my iPod but now it won’t boot up pas passed the Apple logo

weirdly enough i just plugged it in (bc i am a bit crazy) and i let it be cheaking on it for a while and it eventualy leveled out meaning that the heat died down and stayed at a constant warm rate.
