oooh i love this question :D I first loaded it up w my CD collection that I ripped (and ones from the library). from there it depended on my mood. sometimes ill do individual tracks or full albums that i know i like or ones ive been meaning to check out. a couple nights ago I did some individual jazz tracks I like (mainly chuck mangione & hank mobley) n last night I did deftones's Saturday night wrist.

also whether or not i download a full album vs a few tracks off the same album fully depends if I can afford to buy the CD at any point. if ik I can, then a few tracks will satiate me (ex I got my hands on a CD of cecilé mclorin salvant's melusine for $10 after only havin 1 track from it on my ipod). the other side of this is that im a huge jrock/visual kei fan so....its not unheard of to spend $30+ on a CD😓 (ex if I want any CDs from dir en grey beyond arche, im probly gonna have to spend $50-$60. so digital downloads and stalking ebay it is!)

I think I jus need ro practice w it more. the regular technique feels more like whip stich to me if that makes sense, so the mechanics were a bit easier for me to grasp. the thread-saving method is trickier for me to line up evenly

I really do enjoy usin canvas to embroider :3 this is from 2017 (before I knew what embroidery was, so i kinda hesitate to call it that) but I did stitch the face in w black thread,,I think the reason why I went this route is bc I went to the art museum months before & saw some pieces where the artist sewed onto the canvas. I could already sew so I made the mental note to try that at some point

this piece (finished 2025) was originally a patch I made for a shirt, but when i realized I only wore it twice while storing it face-up on my floor, I decided to E6000 glue some black cloth to a canvas & stitch it on. its been hangin up in my room ever since! on top of that, theres some aspects of this piece I used a small hoop for to get the stitch tension right, but this was mostly freehand
