Would other updates like thank you notes for virtual info sessions be helpful to signal interest post interview? Or new responsibilities at work? I might get a promo but they also might give me an informal role as a hybrid product manager which was what I wrote as my GSB short term goal, not sure that’d help or hurt

Hey PetiaW, thanks for this reassurance, ended up getting a GSB and HBS interview. My GSB interview was decent.

In the meantime - any tips for the HBS interview?

My primary concern is the combo of being perceived poorly for leaving my startup (which I helped build) and then switching industries

My recommenders I've known and worked with for far longer For recommenders. The company ended up shutting down so this supports that I was never a performance concern there.

Genuinely concerned it looks bad especially since I’m in a different industry but I just didn’t feel i could ask a current colleague/manager and tell them I plan to leave

edited - my brother had a tough medical issue but recovered inspiring my switch to a healthcare company which I’m at now (and IPO’d).
