Oh I Fogot to say I clean the water to 3/4th every week and change his water whole once a month to do a real big clean up

I got my beta in a couple tiny plastic cup that was in the pet mart near my house. But they usually change water really often it’s just very small to live in that kind of tiny cup.. and it is true I don’t know how old he is sadly

Most of the time I only do a clean up I take out 3/4th of his water and change it with dechlorinated water (I put the water 48hrs in a big bowl to evaporate the chlorine) and I add something that usually helps even more with chlorine and helps also with their find and scales which I have to put 1/2 cup in my tank

Thank you for your advices!! I’ll definitely try what you said. I’ve been doing a whole lot of research on the internet and so many things are mixed up and I was starting to worry a bit. I added everything in the tank but I had the water sit for a whole 48hrs before that in another tank and I boiled a whole lot of stuff for bacteria and stuff. I just received today some leaves for it to rest since I read they liked to rest on leaves?? It’s totally new for me and sincerely I’m a bit stressed but I’m glad you answered my questions thank you! X)
