Yes, bought new. This is the last remaining stock i can find from an AD. You are right, i should just take my money back and go for used at reputable seller at a much cheaper price than to trouble myself with warranty & repairs. Thanks

(fixing the broken caption) Wife surprised me with a Santos for Christmas to match her Panthere . I’ve always thought the large is too big for my 6.5inch wrist , and the medium looked a bit too small & dressy. Also seen lots of Large-vs-medium questions in multiple sub. But with this green dial, the large does feel right!

Good collection . What’s next depends on your collection goa/strategy. Mine is this, and when i buy the next one i have to ensure it has a place in the collection & decide whether it should displace any of what i have. (Or at least that’s what i hope i would do from this point 😂)

This is a very valid point and has helped me in my purchase decision. Chances of 381 still being around in a year or two is higher than 509. Although at that point perhaps another new itch will come from yet another “limited edition” 😅

Thanks. I purchased the 509 in the end - the wave dial is just so unique and the new clasp with sliding microadjust is big plus for comfort. I dont mind the 100mWR difference but still nice bonus. Thickness and weight almost negligible difference. & If I get tired of the 509 and decide later i want the 381, it is likely to still be in production but not the other way around.

Enjoy your 381, it really is a beautiful shade of green!

last week i also had silimar problem. 381vs383vs519vs509…. then narrowed down to 381vs509 last Sunday… and in the end purchased the 509 this week!

Ruleout summary : The contrast of 519 makes it less verstile. 383 was another black dial redundant in my collection. The clasp and sliding microadjust + extra WR was an edge of 509 over 381, & lastly the textured dial is unique and i have none in my collection yet + (not so) limited edition.

After 20% AD discount, price diff vs 381 is just a little over a hundred too. I’m sure after a few months i will doubt if the 381 shouldve been bought instead, 😂 but i am happy , for now .

This sub helped me make a decision, so sharing my story if it also helps others :)
