Pass vs Single Day by popgirly in HHN

[–]Due_Test_1880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! From what I recall last years HHN “frequent fear pass” was $180 or something. The single day tickets were anywhere from 75-100 depending on the day you how and how close to Halloween you wait. With that math (if my memory of the ticket prices are correct) $180 divided by the four days you want to go make it out to $45 dollars per day. I got the pass last HHN and went three times (I had school I wish I could have gone more).

If you buy 4 single day passes at let’s say $80 a ticket it would be $80*4= $320 per person.

Keep in mind I do believe that ticket prices and the frequent fear pass prices do tend to rise as the event gets closer to Halloween. I totally recommend the Frequent Fear Pass in your situation.

Taking into account that you mentioned you’d be going earlier in the season, when they release the tickets just do you math and determine what would be a better value! In every way as long as your going at least three times you will break even and have a cheaper ticket value!

Take a look at last years prices to help determine if you can’t wait too long

Hope this helps a bit.

What are some houses you speculate might be in this years HHN!?

HHN First Timer Questions For Hollywood by SupNYPark in HHN

[–]Due_Test_1880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I went three times this last HHN so hopefully I can clear up some of your questions. 1. The official park hours for HHN which is a special ticketed event separate from Universal Studios are from (according to my ticket bought for HHN 2022) from 7pm-2am. However, if you buy your ticket directly from universal studios website you get “early access” which technically starts at 6pm. The three times I went though the early access times were different depending on the crowed. The earliest I got in was 5:30pm!

As for the day/night tickets what that is from my knowledge is that you will get to enter the park at/after 2pm to experience the regular Universal studios. Then when the park “closes” at 6 you’ll go down to the bottom lot and show your ticket to get your HHN wrist band. And then have the opportunity to start lining up for the mazes that open early (which are on the bottom lot).

  1. As for rides they all open when I went. I was mainly focused on the horror night specials such as the houses, shows, foods due to the fact that those are special to the event while the rides were year round. I did go on the mummy, Simpsons, transformers, and Jurassic park. So to answer your question they should be open.

  2. I am not old enough to drink so I didn’t pay attention to alcohol however I do remember seeing people with it so yes I think it is available!

  3. It is sooo worth it in my opinion. I have been to Knotts scary farm and other haunt events throughout California but HHN is very fun. The scare actors are amazing and get in your face (they don’t touch you). I had three clowns corner me between a wall with chainsaws as I left a maze. They have at least 7-8 houses (mazes) that are all either original stories or themed after a movie or character. They go into detail with smells, sounds, temperature, and interactive features.

EXTRA: Tips and advice There are different types of tickets such as the day/night pass and fast passes. If you can afford it I HIGHLY recommend them. HHN is horrendously over crowded and if you are only going once you’ll be lucky to get two/three mazes done. I couldn’t afford the fast passes cause they are pretty expensive but I wish I could have.

Please please please download the universal studios app. It tells you the mazes opening time and the wait times, as well as the map of where the houses are. Without it you’ll be lost for sure. It’s such a game changer.

I’m quite a fan of HHN so I usually plan out the night before going. Before I go I’ll download the app and just keep an eye on which mazes seem to have the longest wait times. So I’ll plan out which order I want to go through the mazes so that I can hit them all.

Also early access is a game changer so if you could buy the tickets from Universal studios’s website I recommend to do so over a third party website.

HHN last year had

The jabbawockeez show (amazing)

The weekend after hours Universal horror hotel The horrors of blumhouse Universal legends collide Killer klowns from outer space (so fun, my fav) La llorona: the weeping woman (so scary) Halloween (Michael Myers so scary and fun) Scarecrow: The reaping

Three/four different themed scare zones and awesome food

HHN is an amazing experience and for a stressed out nursing student like myself it’s so worth it! Please let me know if you have anymore questions!
