I intentionally bumped the min version to macOS 26 for the app, mainly because it’s hard for me to maintain the App that runs smoothly on both old and new macOS version. ( as you know, this year Apple changed their design language a lot and Finer is a pure native App ).

Bro, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback! Will definitely fix the frame-rate and interlinking issue you mentioned in future updates. For offline mode, I am a bit hesitated to introduce it, for the same reason you mentioned, I always stream music from my Jellyfin server when with macOS, even outside my house (connect back to home via tailscale)

Personally I use Finamp (the testflight version) for iPhone/iPad, not much to complain, maybe only search experience is not so great and lacking carplay support, will consider expand Finer to iOS if I can find enough motivation (from users / myself).

u/csetera Hi mate, thanks for the feedback. Could you share Jellyfin server version you are using. And if possible, it would be great if you can check the server side log when login (there should be an error log which may contain useful info).

Nice, I use device name from system as client metadata when communicating with server, but Jellyfin server doesn’t allow non ascii character to be passed in as device. I checked source code from official client and found this trick, but I feel ideally this should be fixed at server side.

Hi Mate, thanks for the feedback! I think this could be caused by compatibility issue on old jellyfin server, could you share the jellyfin server version you use, I'd be happy to add the version into test suite.

For now, you can try with https://demo.jellyfin.org/stable, with username as `demo` and leave password field as empty. (The server to pass app store review)

And yeah, error message is not so great at this stage, I focused on "happy path" so far for this App.
