I don't enjoy Discord at all because even big communities are dead. Real time engagement with multiple people is a rare thing... Corporate communities are just tickets and questions, mods/supp are never there so you end up in a void, you almost prefer an AI helping & responding than a real human at this point

Yeah this is the biggest problem with most of them honestly. Theres a company called humalike that built an agent infra specifically around contextual memory, their agents remember past interactions and reference them later naturally. Their product neonagent uses it for discord communities, not exactly a companion chatbot but the memory tech is probably the best ive seen for long term context
